I love designer handbags, wallets, slgs basically everything lol but can't afford the collection I would love all at once so I'm hoping soon I'll make my first big designer purchase.
I can't decide between a Marc jacobs natasha bag or a Louis vuitton clemence wallet (fushia lining)
At the moment I'm using a dkny wallet & mango bucket bag. .
Recommendations welcome [emoji4]

I don't really need either, I do agree though a bag will be on display more. The lv is absolutely beautiful so atm I'm being pushed more towards this.

I say get the lv. They hold their value better. But if it were me i would save up more and get an lv bag because they are actually not that much more than their wallets.

I'd get the Clemence. My first LV item was a wallet (ZCP) and my reasoning was I could use it every day but I probably wouldn't carry the same purse every day. I did use it every day for about five years, and recently changed to a Clemence with fuchsia lining and love it, Unless the purse you want is seasonal and won't be there when you've saved enough for your next purchase and you'd regret missing out?

Between the two options, I'd choose the LV wallet. One of my first designer items was an LV Epi Zippy Wallet and I've had it for years. No matter how many bags come and go, that wallet has remained. My husband has even remarked how well it's held up after all of these years!

I also prefer LV over Marc Jacobs, which I've found doesn't have a good resale value. That's not to say that you should base all your designer purchases off of resale value, but as one of your first designer items, there's a chance that you may not like it after a few years. I personally, have sold a lot of my initial designer handbags because they ended up not being my style. What worked for me in college and my first year or so in the corporate world, didn't end up working for me when I reached my mid-twenties. So in that sense, resale value may matter to you and LV generally has a greater resale value than Marc Jacobs. Plus, LV will not go on sale and only increase in price whereas you may luck out and eventually find the Marc Jacobs bag on sale.

Good luck making your decision!

you can use more of the wallet, it's something you will wear everyday whichever bag you're using and it lasts longer. people tend to get bored faster with a bag and not on wallet.
i started with small things when i go designer, because it's more affordable to me back then.
if you don't mind preloved i think you should look for used designer bags, there are a lot of used ones with good price out there.

If you don't need either one more urgently I would go for the bag. Unless you'll use the wallet as a clutch it mostly stays hidden so if you go for a wallet first there's more of a chance you'll still be aching for the bag.

I don't care for wallet because I hardly use wallet lol. So I'd vote for bag regardless of brand. But if u r a wallet person, then by all means get a good wallet because most of the time we change or rotate our bags to match our clothes but use same wallet almost daily. LV wallet should last u a long time

Save more for a LV bag.

Agree! I just got mine after saving for two years and living simpler life [emoji6]

But my other suggestion is perhaps considering Longchamp bag. My favorite is le liage neo, simply because they have silver hardware (im a sucker for SHW [emoji16]). They are affordable and super durable and also versatile. You can pull it in any occasion from the rainy day till the meeting in-laws [emoji16].
