Help! Bvlgari, Cartier, Tiffany or Harry Winston??

Akimoto: Yes I returned it and got the shared settings ring. I also had problems with stones falling out in that ring. I think on a lot of their stack rings the prongs are too thin. I ultimately had the stones reset into a setting of the same size by my jeweler. The prongs are much better quality and so the setting is more substantial but still has the classic look. I think their "fashion" or stack rings in the 3-5k USD range have beautiful stones, but poor settings in general. I just don't give them my business in that price range any longer.

Cartier Orchid earrings. Not a fan of Love bracelet....sorry, too common and quite a lot of imitation. Perhaps consider an item from VCA. Love the Frivole in between finger ring.

Urgh.. Imitations are annoying! Surprisingly it's not common where I live, maybe because there's no Cartier store here. I find VCA very high end, a lot of their simple no diamond pendants are in the thousands range. I find it even more expensive than Cartier. I'd like to keep it under $10k. I do like the perlee signature bracelet though, what do you think?

Oh dear, I've never heard of such horrendous quality from Tiffany. I've had my Tiffany setting engagement ring and a half circle channel set band for years, wear it 24/7, been very rough with it, banging on work desks and its held up perfectly. The channel set could be more secure though, I'd think the legacy would be similar but obviously not.. I'm tempted by the yellow diamond cushion soleste but not sure how secure those melee diamonds are now that you've shared your experience. I wonder if that holds up well.

Thanks everyone for your votes. I'm now leaning towards the love bracelet but will still try on the other options and see if they make my heart sing. No one has voted for the Bvlgari items, do they not get much love on TPF?

With that budget you could get nice items from VCA. The Frivole (gold) in between fingers ring is USD5.9K. Frivole small earrings (gold) is USD5.2K. Perlee signature bracelet is not as common as Love.

You should try on things you are considering before buying. Love is a great choice if you like clean, sleek look. I checked out Bvlgari, VCA boutiques couple of weeks go and was blown away especially Bvlgari. Beautiful things but I wont wear them (IMHO). I really admire it on others.

Good luck. Don't forget to post pictures..

Thanks for the advice, yes I do like clean sleek designs. I'm not into loud pieces that's why I need to try on the Bvlgari pieces as they seem chunkier than all the jewelry I have. Tempted to get something different from what I already have too. I definitely have to try all of them on! Will be a fun shopping experience.

Thanks to all for chiming in. Your opinions and advices have been well appreciated.

So I went to try on all the jewelry listed and I have made my purchase!!

Like someone has pointed out, I should get what I've always admired. Plus I wasn't blown away by the jewelry at Bvlgari, they were just too chunky on me.

Here goes... Pictures coming up
