Help! Bought pave frivole earrings..

Hi everyone! I went to the boutique today to look for some everyday earrings in yellow gold. Initially I wanted to get the gold frivole in size large however they didn’t have any stock and I tried on a few others including the small frivole in white gold, vintage alhambra MOP and small pave frivole.

I ended up falling in love with the small gold pave frivoles and bought those as I kept going back to them after trying on all the other styles.

they have been sent off for clip adjustment however now I am questioning my choice!! This is not a small purchase for me so please let me know if I made the right choice!!

I want earrings I can sleep and shower in. Are the gold pave frivoles ok for this?

will the weight make my ears sag?

Are the non pave version better for everyday wear? I will only be able to buy one pair, not both.

are omega backs secure for everyday wear? I normally wear diamond studs with la pousette backs which I find very secure.

I asked about soldering the posts on the back after reading this was possible on purseforum however the SA said they don’t do it. He is now checking with the regional team in Hk if they can do it. I really really want the backs soldered as I don’t want them to come loose. Is this something only offered in USA?

I hav attached some pics of me trying the things on. The hoop earrings are called Olympia earrings and are super nice but the price wasn’t very nice haha!

Honest? I love the pave on you. The wearability of the pave should not be a problem at all (can shower etc in them - if that's your choice - not everyone does but you won't have issues like you might have with other stones). I cannot speak for the weight as it can be personal. They are not big so I wouldn't think they would cause sagging. Sleeping in earrings is very personal, again, I can sleep with earrings in (I have four piercings each side and have diamond studs in three of them and my friends always say it would make them crazy to feel that at night but Im fine??) Have you tried lying down and seeing how it feels? From a visual perspective I think these are a lovely daily choice and would not regret it. Good luck.

thank you! I feel a bit better now. I do agree the pave just looks so much better. I usually sleep with diamond stud earrings too. I didn’t think of lying down in the boutique to test the earrings

really hoping they can beeveryday earrings that I don’t need to take off

The earrings look beautiful on you. No experience with getting posts soldered on. I own this pair and I have very thin lobes and ripping on one ear. I can wear these earrings all day but there is no way I could sleep comfortably in them as a side sleeper. With the 3D shape I don’t see that working for any side sleeper. They are very easy to take on and off so would be easy to wear daily. I find them too dressy for daily wear when I am doing something active. I use them for work or nights/weekends if it works with my outfit - I live in HK too. I plan to get the pave vintage earrings next as a better casual everyday piece. Depends on your lifestyle if you will wear daily.

Thank you! I am comfortable with the style as an everyday piece. I usually dress quite casually and I like to mix designer with high street so It won’t be too over the top. I just want it to be secure. Good to know you can wear them all day!

I am back sleeper luckily

You only live once so go for the pave. :heart::heart::heart: Hahaha.

No. Seriously, if you can walk in to VanCleef with something in pave and not pass out when the SA swipes your card, I THINK you can afford them. So keep them and wear them in good health.

But in all seriousness, I don't wear earrings to sleep. I just don't. Don't care how big or small. I don't think anyone should, it would totally interfere with a good night's sleep....

haha that’s true! I think if I got the non pave I would just regret in the future.

hmm I always sleep with earrings in. I think it’s more due to laziness than anything lol

The pave looks gorgeous on you!
I have both and I couldn’t tell the difference in weight. Like others, I also could not sleep on these, I could not even wear them on an overnight flight - just too uncomfy for me.

Haha no no you wouldn't have been able to lie in the boutique:biggrin: but I meant at home. Anyway, I think they look wonderful on you and I hope you come to a decision.

Congratulations on your Frivole pave earrings!
I have a pair in YG and pair in pave WG, i notice the difference in weight, but not when they are on the ear. I do not sleep in VCA earrings, but used to sleep in diamond studs. For everyday wear, i think now (since i received WG pave Frivole) i could wear them everyday and they are bling :-))))

Congrats! They are beautiful! Don’t second guess; just enjoy. I personally wouldn’t have a problem with wearing the pave every day. I sometimes sleep in Diamond studs but usually not with earrings with this kind of backing
