I agree with all the votes for diamond studs. If you go for it, I highly recommend you consider a threaded flatback style, like those made by Maria Tash. Other body piercer jewelry makes also make this style. They are more secure and comfortable for 24/7 wear vs traditional butterfly backs.

I thought I would tag on to this thread as it’s been super helpful! I am considering studs around 1.2 ctw but unsure if yellow gold martini setting or yellow gold bezel is better. I would like a setting that matches my yellow gold necklaces (DBTY, VCA vintage Alhambra and mini Frivole). Would appreciate any thoughts on what setting and metal will be versatile enough to pair with different YG necklaces? Thank you!!

I am late to the discussion, but like other posters above, I think martini setting is most classic and versatile Provided you are not looking for an actual match. Posters above suggested that yg bezel may also cause your diamonds to absorb a yellow cast.
