No Allan, it is not croc..Not even sure what leather it is???

I still feel a little sick after buying it!! What on earth am I going to wear with it. I just thought that it was so unique and I went to work and put in an absentee bid and when I saw there was 70 bids I almost died..

Did I say I feel sick, these colours were not even on my radar..

I still feel sick!!

Can I admit something? If you don't follow through with it, I was the last bidder (I put in an absentee bid via email).... but I'm glad it went to a TPF-er anyways. I hope this pic will inspire you.

^ Sorry Zenith, I didn't mean to beat my tPF friends. I have seen that photo before and she looks fabulous with it, is it the same colours? They didn't have a very good photo of the bag although I got a few other pics sent to me.

Allan, they described it as dark chocolate brown, tan & cream?? Here are a few other pics.

Maybe their pictures are taken in unusual lighting, not sure but that pic of Jaqueline Smith stuck in my memory so I hope the colours are the same or similar to her bag.

Someone who is good at colours may know, can anyone help with the names and type of leather?

No worries. If I had won, I would have to hide it in my office for a few months as I will definitely get into trouble with DH. :faint: So it's a mixture of relief as well

I knew I won't be able to monitor the auction live as I was in an important meeting. I only put in my bid via email a day before as I was under great work stress the past week so I couldn't make up my mind on the bid :confused1:.

I think it's the same bag as the Jacklyn Smith one.

so how do I find haywards? on ebay?

Haywards is located here http://www.haywards.co.nz/

Liveauctions via ebay can be found http://www.liveauctioneers.com/ . You can find out when the upcoming auctions will take place - although most are non-H related.

Also, it's worth checking with the auction house itself if they will accept absentee bids directly. With Haywards, I called them and they said that the buyers premium will be 11.25% direct vs 15% via ebay liveauctions.

I think this was their fist auction linked to ebay as they had zero feedback. I was doing a search for Kelly's and it came up and when I saw that it was in NZ I thought that was good as it was closer to home for me. A brown constance went for I think $1300 and it was new. A 15% buyers charge is added to the auction + shipping but for me that still makes it cheaper than buying a Kelly in Oz.
Not sure if tri-colours are more expensive though?

Congrats Suzie! The leather looks to be Clemence. Not sure if it's the same colours like Jacyln Smith's tri-colour but it appears quite close. Hard to tell as the photos are taken under different lighting.

You can obviously wear this with black, brown, cream, beige, grey, red etc just not all of them together. Solids, one at a time. No more than 2.
