Thalia just arrived, and she is broken. The handle fell apart as I was removing her from the box. No wrapping, just rolled up and put into a flat rate box. No way that the handle broke during shipping, it is not mint at all.
Anyone know if the handles are an easy fix, or do I need to open a snad?

Hey Hottie! Can you post a photo of the handle? It might help to see it to figure out if it can be fixed.
I am sorry to hear that happened. Is it frayed (leather area) at all? Or was it a break at the hardware?
Shiitake. Let me go take a look at mine. It might be an easy fix. No other side of the screw in the box?
I don't think it would be that pricey if you could find an exact match but that part might be a PITA. You could unscrew the other side to measure.
ETA Stormy over on the care thread would know what eaxctly to call them and possibly where to to look for them if you decide to go that route.

With the new re-start, I am not sure what they will/will not fix or how long it will take. You could *try* to contact them, but if the cs is anything like it has been for the last 2.5 years, good luck. I always have my fingers crossed that the dark days of cs are gone, but those hopes are still empty with a lingering sting of past experience. I would take it to a leathersmith close by to get an estimate first. I know that the charge to fix the lock on the front of a clutch wallet WAS $50.

How disappointing. You've had some good advice so far, but I would totally look into a local fix. If they can't exactly match, they could probably replace on both sides of the handle. But if you don't want to work this hard, I would see if the seller would take it back as it isn't as described.Any resolution yet? I feel so badly about this for you, especially since we were all so excited about your purchase!
