I have the shine and protect glossing mist which is incredible on my blonde, highlighted hair as a finishing touch before I head out the door. My only criticism is the scent...way too strong a la what paintednightsky posted.

I tried the restorative hair treatment once but I may have used too much. It was a disaster on my hair and far too greasy.

This smells awful. I tried the dry shampoo thing Ojon carries and I threw it out, not only did it smell awful, but I also don't think it worked all too well. I purchased the Oscar Blandi dry shapoo and it smells and works much better

The smell is soooooo bad. Like bad tobbacco. I bought it full price at Sephora and gave it to a friend w/ very thick hair, it was not for me (thin hair)

I'm looking at the Ojon products for volume or the Fekkai products for volume. Any suggestions on which work better? Based on everyone's responses so far, it seems that Ojon doesn't work too well. . .or smell too good. =P

i don't recommend using ojon for volume. honestly, the smell doesn't bother me too much but i ONLY use the restorative hair treatment. it's my deep conditioner so once it's washed out with shampoo and regular conditioner, i don't smell anything at all. fekkai has great styling products that smell AMAZING so i'd look for those; the ojon is more for improving the health of your hair while fekkai, for me, has been improving my hair's managability. =]

anytime! if you're looking for a product that will just give you volume, definitely go for the fekkai. however, if your hair is dry/damaged at all and you want something to make it shinier and healthy, i do strongly recommend using the ojon restorative hair treatment as a leave-in.

I cannot express how much I love Ojon. The products are phenomenal.

Ojon rocks! I have been using it for about 3 years now. I have really long hair and people always ask me how I flat iron my hair so often and yet still keep my hair damage free. Ojon is the answer.

The line is very unique. They all contain Ojon oil which is only found in Central America and used by the Miskito Indians, named Tawira, or "the people of beautiful hair. The line actually is harvested by the local indigenous people and serves as a sustainable source of income for the harvesters. I like the fact that a portion of the funds go to the local people. The products have a distinctive earthy smell.

If you haven't tried the products yet, I would definitely recommend trying the restorative hair treatment first. QVC and Sephora have great starter kits.

What are your favorite Ojon products?

I use the following Ojon products and everything has been fantastic:

  • Ojon Hydrating Thickening Shampoo - This shampoo truly adds volume to my hair. I apply it and leave it on for a couple of minutes to let it absorb.
  • Ojon Hydrating Thickening Conditioner - This conditioner is so moisturizing and hydrating. It does all of that with out weighing my hair down. I get so much body and volume with it.
  • Ojon Rub Out Dry Cleanser - This is the best dry cleanser out there. It actually works! After spraying your hair, rub the scalp and hair. Then just comb through and it absorbs any excess oil or residue from products. It also adds volume to the hair. I have dark hair and it doesn't leave any residue on my hair.
  • Ojon Hydrating Thickening Spray - I spray this at my roots for lift
  • Ojon Shine and Protect Mist - This gives my hair a beautiful shine. I spray each section of my hair with this before I flat iron for an extra boot of shine.
  • Ojon Revitalizing Mist - This is what I spray on my hair before styling it to untangle and refresh my hair. It also helps condition my hair.
  • Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment - This is a cornerstone product! I use it once every couple weeks to deep condition my hair. After washing it out my hair is so soft and shiny, it is truly remarkable. It contains the highest percentage of Ojon oil. I also emulsify the paste and use the oil on my elbows and knees for extra hydration.

OMG, SoCal why do you have to read my mind? I was going to post a thread like this since QVC's TSV is Ojon hair stuff. And I caved and bought it! I've been wanting to try his stuff for the past 2 years or so. And I can't wait to get it in the mail! Next on my list is the rub out stuff. I want the mini one first to see if I'll like it before I get the bigger one.

The rub out cleanser is awesome! I tried the travel size at Sephora first too, and liked it enough to get another. Just be sure you don't use too much because if you do then you will see residue. If you use it lightly then you get great results!
