Chanel Classic Maxi

Looked absolutely 'off', like a butch briefcase on a chain on me. I remember feeling very disappointed, and almost like a child, I still wanted it despite it looking terrible. I had to give myself a good lecture :smash:

I *totally* know what you mean by "the lecture"- had to give it to myself also several times...

Sometimes the thing is so pretty/shiny/beautiful by itself that even though it doesn't fit or doesn't look good on me or I won't ever wear it... I still want to buy it!

Then the rational side comes in and gives "the lecture" and you tearfully leave it behind! :crybaby:

Isn't that right? ;)

That is exactly the process!

Oh yes.....! Happened many times already. Some I stupidly bought (telling myself I will eventually learn to carry heavy bags....will eventually love handheld.....strap will eventually mould to my shoulder....who knows, I may need huge oversized bag in future?.....nevermind the mini size, I will learn to carry less stuff n my shoulder will thank me!?! Lol the list goes on.

I didn't buy all that I loved though. There were time I was smart enough not to buy. There were also few bags I didn't buy after reading many negative comments. (Thanks to TPF!!!)

This also many of us can relate, I am sure! :p

For me it was the Stella McCartney Falabella, it looked so beautiful in the store and when I put it on my shoulder it looked like I was carrying a black garbage bag. I still love this bag but sadly it isn't for me.

LOL! I thought the same thing. That chain is so pretty, but I felt like everything settled at the bottom like a trash bag. On top of that, the lining felt crunchy. So glad I didn't buy it.

Yes! Same story as yours! It was the Céline Trapèze. It didn't look good on me . I am petite, and it was too big (I just wonder why too big. I usually carry a 35Birkin and it's not too big).
Now they make the trapeze in smaller sizes, and it might fit me better. But I did not really try them anymore.

I can relate to you all. Well, for me, if the bag looks very classy on other ladies, likely it'll look very grandma on me. :) I guess my look just too casual.

LOL so glad I am not the only one! I didn't even get to looking at the inside of the bag, the outside was enough to turn me off. Crunchy lining sounds terrible!
