have you ever bought your "LAST" bag...?

I think I bought my last "want" bag when I purchased my McQueen De Manta Clutch. Seriously. If I buy any bag in the future, it's going to be because I actually needed it, not wanted it. I have a total of 25 bags now and they're a huge variety, so I'd be very surprised if I couldn't find a bag to fit any given time. I still would purge a few of them too and not miss those few.

I have been sick and tired of buying bags or thinking of buying them and want to focus on working on other things in my life. I just don't miss buying bags at all!

I'm happy to say YES! My collection is complete. I'm done with my "last" bag. Well, technically I special ordered a Chanel bag that should arrive in May. It's the bag that I put off buying for the longest time because it's so basic (as in, this is the usual "starter" bag). With or without it, I'm content. I have to be. I've already gone over my annual limit & spent $8K on 2 bags just this month! Problem? Yes, if I continue. So I have to stop! I initally planned my "last" bag to be an H birkin but when push comes to shove, I don't think I'm brave enough (oh the guilt!) to spend that much money on a bag & get the addiction rolling again. Once you go H, there's no looking back. I'm so fed up with the buying/selling cycle & quite frankly, I feel too old chasing after these bags.

ETA: Do wallets count? If not, I'm moving onto wallets.;) J/K

I've decided it's like saying you've had your last cigarette (if you are a quitting smoker) - you set yourself up to fail if you deny yourself permanently.
I'd rather just not define my bag purchases that way.
I allow myself to be content with my collection, neither saying 'no' or 'yes' to any less or any more.
It just is, whether it's seven bags or ten.

I don't know...every bag is supposed to be my 'last bag!' :blushing: I love my bags though. I have 7 bags remaining after I purged my collection. I am going on a ban after this month.

i just bought the Frye Holly Drawstring and was sure it would be my 'last' bag becuase i am LOVING it! But then i was walking through Bloomies and saw the Cleobella Adara in tie tribal whatever. Boho hippie awesomeness

i guess i answered my own question. There really never is a LAST BAG

:)

No but when I decided to buy my Prada wallet I said it would be my last. I've used it for a year and-a-half and it's still in excellent condition. I think this may be one commitment I can keep.
