Has Coach jumped the shark?

I was gonna say.. i am pretty sure this is round two after a very successful round one last year that i missed out on.

Also agree with the sentiment that it's for peanuts fans not a target age range, i like peanuts always did got my kids into them when they were little... great pumpkin anyone? :D

Nothing is for everyone, and i certainly hope Coach continues with these little collections it brings variety and something unique to my purses and SLG collection.

If Coach is trying to be more high end, I do not see how this Peanuts collection fits in with that business model.

Maybe they took note that brands such as Cartier have licensed Peanuts items since the 1970s. There are a lot of Peanuts jewelry items that are not for the cheap seats. To me, it doesn't seem odd at all that they hooked up with Peanuts. I would also not be surprised if they did Disney - same mass appeal and previous history of making some very $$$$ items.

And to answer that burning question is Coach a luxury item, I don't care if it is or isn't, that is not why I purchase things, I buy them because I like them and they make me feel good.

Also, I don't think there's a target "age group". The target group would be Snoopy/Peanuts fans.

That is VERY true. I'm a fairly serious Peanuts collector and at gatherings there are young kids as well as people old enough to be my grandparents (and they are there for themselves, not any children). There are also a large number of fans internationally. It's not unusual to have people travel from other countries (Japan and China especially) for Peanuts events.

If you know what "jumped the shark" means, you might be the in their target group!! ;)

I wholeheartedly agree with FF...I think it appeals to large group of people, not just a certain age group.
I didn't really like the first collection, but I'm digging the hang tags this time around. I've probably missed my chance by now...haven't dared to check.

HA! re: knowing Jumped the Shark

4 of the 6 new hangtags appear to still be available.

I adored the first collection and not so much the second...but once I saw the fob is a different colour, I ordered. The collector in me couldn't pass it up. And also love the blue! Hope you get something. :)
