Has Coach jumped the shark?

This Peanuts collection seems a bit odd to me, something Coach has never done before, I personally do not care for it, but perhaps I am not its target age group. Between the high prices, frequent bag turnover and this collection
, Coach is losing me as a fan. If Coach is trying to be more high end, I do not see how this Peanuts collection fits in with that business model.

I think the beauty of Coach is they appeal to all age groups...there is something for everyone. Coach is doing a lot more collaborations unlike before and hence the Peanuts collection. I'm not sure what your age group is but I know a few women on this forum are not young in age but young at heart and can appreciate this collection...me included.
And also some can relate to their childhood or an event in their life to want something from this collection. I have a few pieces from the Peanuts and Baseman collection...as a collector I can appreciate the craftsmanship and the price.
The prices are getting expensive but I guess they are keeping up with their peers.

Agreed! I don't love everything that Coach puts out. If they only made pieces to suit me, they wouldn't do very well at all. I personally don't get all the negativity towards this line. Not directed towards the op, but I have seen some really ugly and offensive comments directed towards the Peanuts items. I don't get it. :wondering

Totally....I don't like everything Coach puts out either and don't understand the hatred towards the brand. But then again that's what makes the forum interesting.

I don't like most of the bags Coach puts out, but the bags I like most are Coach!

I don't hate the brand because I don't like some of their designs. It would be kind of surprising for someone the like absolutely everything put out by a brand.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to the Snoopy thread....

Hahaha, you've been active there...I will join you soon when my items actually ship! Round 2....

The peanuts collection is not for everyone but the current discussion thread is one of the most popular threads in the Coach subforum (http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/a-new-coach-line-called-snoopy-879605.html) with 2000+ posts and 160k+ views. Their first collection was pretty much sold out before it was officially released, and the 2nd collection is selling out quickly. Coach must be doing something right.

I only ordered a few hangtags but I put them with every purse I carry even though my friends say that they don't match well. What can I say? I am just an old and proud fan. LOL

Actually, this is Coach's second release of the Peanuts line, the last release was in October of 2014 and sold out in hours

As for the Peanuts line, yes, it's not for everyone nor should it be, it's for someone who can appreciate the line for what it is, a whimsical item.

I personally enjoy these types of items, and not just Coach. I did purchase a few items from the last Peanuts release, I owned a Rebecca Minkoff Hello Kitty purse, and I am eyeing a Fendi Monster tote.

We would be a boring group if we all liked the same items

And to answer that burning question is Coach a luxury item, I don't care if it is or isn't, that is not why I purchase things, I buy them because I like them and they make me feel good.
