Has anyone had their Cartier pieces change colors?

What is it changing to? I posted here a photo of my 3 year old yg love and my brand new yg love. My older piece got more yellow over time which is normal.
Would you mind sharing the photo? I’m glad to hear it’s normal! I can definitely see the difference from my new thin yg love compared to my 3 year old classic love especially when they’re stacked next to each other.

Can you share photo(s) of your two loves for colour comparison too? :)

DH and I have gold Cartier watches with substantial bracelets (his is yellow gold and mine is rose gold). We bought them about 15-17 years ago. They look the same as the day we bought them, but we do not wear them in the shower or ocean and we occasionally give them a buffing with a polishing cloth.

Gold is an alloy and the metals that comprise the alloy can and do oxidize. Yellow gold, for example, gets darker/more yellow as it oxidizes, but a quick buffing brings it back to its original color.

I own a lot of 18K gold jewelry and if it is left in the safe long enough without wearing or buffing it, oxidation can form, particularly near clasps and hinges, where a slightly different alloy may have been used to attach parts. Buff that area with a quality polishing cloth and it should clean right up.

Might be a little hard to tell but I do notice my classic love which I’ve worn everyday for 3 years does look more yellow compared to the newer thin love.
Your older bracelet just has patina. Polishing cloth will take that off and the color will be restored. Cape cod polishing cloth does not take off a layer of gold, just cleans really well
