Has anyone else fallen out of love with the Love?!

I got mine for a milestone anniversary a while back. I’ve always wanted one and was super excited when I got it. I don’t remove mine.
I got it before the trends and sometimes am appalled at the thought that social media cheapened what was once a nice piece (same with my VCAs as I got them at a time when majority of people didnt even know what it was).
I still appreciate the pieces I have but if I was just starting, I may pick something else instead.

Same. I got mine when it was nowhere near as popular as it is today.
Even in my friend group, I think most of my friends didn’t know what it was / thought I was crazy for spending so much money on a bracelet, and today they all have at least one. Where I live, VCA isn’t as popular as Cartier / the love bracelet just yet, and I see more dupes than the real thing.

I really miss how happy my LOVE bracelet used to make me — and although I still absolutely love jewelry and watches very much, I don’t think I’m ever going to feel the same way for a bracelet ever again.

I live in a huge metroplex and honestly, rarely see them. Maybe because we’re so casual here.

I don’t spend a lot of time outdoor be-in-the-scene. But if I do, honestly I don’t see a flood of Love. If we do see loads, it’s called the social media. It can be very crazy.

On myself, I still love mine today. I may not be as excited about it as before, but still love it. I wear it while doing house chores too. I wear it for myself.

I still love my original Love…but recently in Korea, fine jewelry has suddenly (especially a tremendous increase this year) become the new uniform/fad…
I can go about a normal day with seeing at least 20-30 sightings of a Love bracelet - mostly the original, small, and lately the medium. I must add that much of the sightings happen at department stores and on public transportation where there are a lot of foot traffic/groups of people.
Before, I’d feel a sort of kinship? /connection with someone who had a Love, but now…sometimes I feel “basic” and even covered my Love bracelet with my cardigan However, I will still keep mine because I’ve wanted one since I was 16, it’s still a classic piece of jewelry that goes with everything, and prices just keep on rising!

Interesting facts:

-The small JUC bracelet with diamonds, small Clash/JUC ring are extremely popular amongst Koreans, too.
-I’ve read that this year the Diamant Legers (D’amour) necklace/bracelet became SO popular that people weren’t able to purchase them on weekends (or maybe it was the weekday) before the recent price increases.
-In Korea, you can do down payments on basically all purchases over 50,000 won. Hence, many Koreans buy luxury brands and pay in installments because they LOVE (pun intended lol) brand names. I’m from the States, so this was a bit shocking for me @_@

+VCA has also become EXTREMELY popular that everyone seems to have at least one variation of a Vintage or Sweet Alhambra single motif necklace.
