This may be the wrong forum to ask I know and apologies Mods if this question has been asked, I couldn't find it.

I used to be obsessed with the Love bracelet, purchased the cuff and wore it for a few years before purchasing the bangle several years ago now..

I swore I would never want to take it off and absolutely adored it. But over the past 18 months or so I have gradually fallen more and more out of Love with it.

I took it off a few weeks ago as I purchased the small JUC which I'm really enjoying alone. It's early days but currently I really don't want to put it on again! I think it's partly that it feels like everyone I know either has one or in the case of my work place a fake one. I'm just so over seeing it everywhere.

I'm still hoping that I'll fall back in love with it in a few weeks / months and that this is just due to getting something new, has this has happened to anyone else?

Please don't come for me.. I know a lot of people love it and it can look beautiful on them, but curious to know if I'm alone here on this?

I still love my small love bracelet but I would never buy another love at this point to stack with it. I used to really like the look of several Cartier loves stacked together, but now I like more diversity in a stack or just one other bracelet with my love. Today I’m wearing it with my Dinh Van. The Cartier love classic size is totally played out IMO. I will always have the small version as a staple in my collection.

I know many people love the classic love bracelet, but I personally never found it comfortable to wear on a daily basis. It was too heavy and uncomfortable for me and annoying to get off an on! Also to me it felt like a big thick flat chunky piece of gold that was kind of always in my way 🤣 I never liked the classic version on me but I love the small version. On other people I think the classic looks good but it did not work for me.

Not yet.
It’s more like it’s a staple now. And I always notice (as far as I know) when I see someone wears one. It’s like a magnet to my eyes.

I mentioned not yet because I’d never know how I feel about it years down the road. Just like I really liked Chanel mini back then, when everyone else loved it too. But now, it’s ridiculous to me lol (can’t hold much). I just find others that work and look just as pretty if not more.

And it’s ok to feel out of love for Love. These are just material things.

I think thats fairly normal since its everywhere and it has been like that especially in the last two decades. I was thinking about how I would feel if I sold my love since I have the 5 diamond smaller love and I am hopefully getting another cartier non love bangle. However I've had the first love my entire adult life, so its sentimental in that regard. So I think the 5 diamond small love is the last love I get. Would never say no to a pave love.... but I think that theres a beauty these days on minimalistic jewelry so each piece shines versus the large stacks we all used to do.

I think this is a really interesting topic! I have got three loves over the past 5 years and Im still just as obsessed as Ive always been (and would love to keep adding more to the collection). Where I live I dont see anyone with them, so maybe I would feel different if everyone was wearing them….For now I continue to love them 😊 A great question to ask though and im interested in people’s thoughts.

I have three regular loves purchased in 2015/2016 which I used to wear on one arm as a stack every day, never took them off, up until 2021 when they got stuck and I couldn't get one of the screws on each bracelet to unscrew! So, I went to one of the Cartier boutiques in London and they were able to remove them for me - no problem as their onsite technicians had a special screwdriver that they used. Anyway, after that experience I went right off all three of my loves and didn't even want to wear them on the journey home from the boutique, so when I got home I simply stored them in their boxes and no longer wore them for 3 years - my intention was to eventually sell them! However, in May of this year I have gone back to wearing one of my regular loves at a time and am really loving the look, so elegant in my opinion. My intention is to now rotate them - wear one on its own for 4 months of the year, remove it and then switch to another for 4 months and so on which means that for four months of the year each bracelet gets used every day and thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. I came very close to selling one of them last year, and am so glad that I didn't as I probably would have ended up having to repurchase and obviously they're much more expensive now than when I bought them 8/9 years ago - indeed, one's been discontinued altogether (rainbow love). So my very long answer is: only sell/move on if you are absolutely sure you won't regret it!!!!!

Thanks everyone for your replies! I'm pretty sure I'm not going to part with my Love anytime soon. Hopefully a break from it will make me love it again in the future.
Who knows, I change my mind pretty often so may well decide I want to wear it next week

In the meantime I'm going to enjoy my single JUC, if it gets to at least six months or more and I haven't wanted to wear it then I'll start thinking about whether I want to keep it or not.

If there's one thing I've learned over the years, sellers remorse is worse than buyers remorse by far!

What is the 5 diamond love? Do you mean 10 diamond? 6 diamond?

I got mine over a year ago to commemorate a turning point in my life so it’s special to me; if it really was just a purchase without meaning behind it I may not feel the same. I’ve only taken it off for a medical procedure where I had to but otherwise it’s very special to me. I have the small version and I don’t even realize I have it on anymore, it’s just part of me.

I loved mine and wore them 24/7 without any regret. The only reason I sold them (I had a small Love and a regular Love) was because they were way too big on me. They were both size 20, because at the time that I bought them, I was 60 lbs. heavier than I am now, and even then they were too big, but didn't have the heart to send them back or wait for an exchange. I'm very impatient, so I just wore them. But I sold them both early this year. I don't regret it, but I still check my right wrist to see if they're there. It's so weird. Like a lost limb lol. But I do plan on buying another one (just one) in a few years. I'm in no rush.

Sorry to read this from the OP!

But remember why you bought the jewelry piece?! Was it to make a statement piece for yourself? Or the hype?
I bought my cuff out of the hype but i have my personal reasons to justify why i bought the piece! I bought it with my own money, to remind myself that i love myself and others around me, and to wear it in good health! I see more luxury goods that a lot of people are wearing like me, and i am happy for them. I pay no attention to them as they wear for their own personal reasons! Hope you fall back in love one day!
