That 10 points is not a really big difference.

There's only a slight difference when compared side by side.. that being said, the 0.83 has clearer faceting (because it is larger) and looks like a prettier diamond. I would go for the 0.83 because you might as well get the best, if you can afford it.

Agree, i think the diamond looks prettier in .83

I definitely like the larger pendant, but on me. If you prefer something more delicate, then maybe the smaller pendant would work for you better. Either size, I think it's exquisite and I love a pear shaped diamond.

Here is my pear (it is 2.01 carats) that I inherited from my late Mother, who was my BFF. My jeweler made it stationery (I didn’t want the chain to move around and show the clasp) on a 16” diamond cut cable chain and made me a 2” extender for when I want to wear it longer. These pictures were taken the day I picked it up from my jeweler. I absolutely love this piece as it is so special and I am able to wear my mother close to my heart and take her with me wherever I go.

Oh wow. That is so stunning. I don't blame you for wearing that beautiful piece. Especially since it's now an heirloom from your late mother. What a beautiful way to keep her close to you.
