60 Minutes reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment. Palace representatives demanded that before considering commenting we provide them with our report prior to it airing, which is something 60 Minutes does not do. “

Seriously tho, how could palace representatives comment if they were not allowed to know what they were commenting on ? :confused1:

I think this is a normal request... they will say "Harry said 'XYZ', can you comment on that?" and some will feel comfortable commenting based on how self-explanatory it is, and some will say, as the palace did, we can't comment unless we know the full context so please show us the full thing. As someone who has fielded these requests for my company.

I thought it was interesting everything Harry said on 60 minutes. All the rumors that were going around after Diana passed, he pretty much confirmed it all.

I kept thinking that... some things he definitely debunked but some I was surprised turned out to be as reported generally. I usually assume the tabloids get it right maybe 10% of the time haha so this opened my eyes to the fact it may be more like 30%.

I have just now seen this thread and read the last few pages and I want to say thank you for posting the thoughtful comments and having a positive thread about Harry and Megan. After watching the Netflix doc and now 60 minutes (and planning to read the book starting tomorrow) it literally horrifies me that Megan has been treated in the way she has. And I am so glad Harry has gone out there and explained to us all how the British press really works and how the family sells each other out for their own good press. Even if Megan was a nightmare who yelled and made demands and everyone hated her, she never should be treated in the way she has been. They literally fed her to the wolves and are now all upset that Harry and Megan are coming out and saying "No, not okay", as if they are the ones betraying the family. I used to love the royal family and seeing all the formality of it all, but now it's nothing more than a bunch of press hungry wolves out to eat each other. Harry and Megan will be the only ones who come out of this all with their heads held high. May take 20 years, but the truth will eventually become clear to all. (Thanks for letting me rant a bit, I have been holding this in for weeks!). xoxo

Game of Thrones! Cut throat!

I thought it was interesting he said he and William were never really close. It honestly never seemed like they were, so him confirming it made a lot of things add up.
They were raised by professionals, their parents were not particularly close, so it makes sense that those two are not typical brothers.
Plus the spare dynamic is wicked.
AC was a good choice as an interviewer as he is blue blooded and has experienced a ton of loss just like Harry.
Pretty neutral overall.
They both came out well, imo.

Yeah the interview was definitely neutral. AC didn’t push at all and I thought Harry seemed pretty earnest.

I’ve never thought Will seemed nice at all, but he certainly doesn’t after the stories that have come out.

Just set up my DVR, gotta watch now
We’re ready Harry, let’s go!
