Hardware Fading on 36 Whiplash Rivets Rogue

I'm eyeing one of the wallets with ombre rivets as part of my Mother's Day event purchase but these comments are making me skittish. Do we think SLGs are as prone to the fading and cracking and whatnot?

Edit: Read the rest of the thread and it seems it's more noticeable on darker hardware/items?

I think it might be worse on a wallet. Pulling it in and out of your bag will cause wear. I think sometimes it depends on the item. I have a small duffle with gunmetal grommets from several years ago, and I haven't noticed any problems.
