Any step by step instructions on how to wrap the twillys?:)
Sure here you go:smile1:

Step 1> Wrap your twilly so it's wound up and ready to start wrapping

Step 2> Make a loop around the handle base and slip the end down through your loop to make a basic knot at the base of one handle

Step 3>Adjust your start knot so the end will be short

Step 4> Snug up your start knot

Step 5> Start wrapping your twilly around your handle

Step 6> Your tag should be to the inside of your wrap and be at the top most part of your handle when it gets wrapped under...

Step 7> Continue wrapping until you have just enough to make your end knot

Step>8 Make your end knot by slipping your free end down through your last wrap (which is your loop for the end knot just like you did for your start knot)

Step 9> Adjust your end knot so you have the correct amount of end showing to match your start knot

Step 10> Snug up your end knot so the free end will be short

Step 11> Adjust your twilly along the wrapped length to make sure it looks even and equally snug all the way from the start to end knots.

I think chubby arms are divine. And lovely idea, Doc. Thank you.

Cracking up! Those darn heavy bags that make arms look devilishly chubby!! And we love them??? :roflmfao::D:p No twillies online in the states or in many stores I called. Crazy. I was in my "local," closest Hermes this weekend, and they had two twillies. SA said, that this wrapping the handles is crazy for them since they can't keep twillies in especially since buyers are buying two, not one.

TPF Ladies,
Last night, I fretted about not having twillies or the Vetwrap stuff that Docride so brilliantly displayed to "lighten up a Birkin." But I have the dang Birkin, and even though the weight of the bag or the marks on my arm DO NOT bother me in the least, I love the color additions of the twillies. (It hurt me to read that so many women described their plight of a heavy B...so sad that this is a reality for women who carry the most perfect bag on the planet...in my biased opinion:D) Docride's pics knocked my socks off!! Look at how she has one accent color in her scarf selections that match the bag...and the rest of the colors act as complimenting contrast. SO BEAUTIFUL! I ramble-ith, but I am soooo excited. So this morning, after coffee and work out, some synapses were really firing and I went into my scarf drawer and pulled out this large, chiffon "inexpensive" to H standards scarf and for the FIRST time, started following Doc's pictures. Because the scarf is full and big, I double wrapped more on top of the handle and guess what---I have a soft, colorful handle with no necessary padding underneath. OMG!:p;):graucho::roflmfao: Now this job needs rewrapping because it is not perfect, but it is my FIRST attempt! Not bad. Now, I am off to shop for two non-Hermes scarves! A hundred bucks and I will be sporting the look I want! Hey, I might never need a twilly now, and can put the cash in my next B fund instead!! Hope someone out there feels my excitement and also helps stimulate the economy with scarf purchases today!!

That is so lovely! Thank you for sharing! It looks really pretty and complimentary to your beautiful B! I, myself, am addicted to twillys and changing their colors constantly....but this is a nice alternative! Wow! I cannot wait to see what you come home with from your shopping trip. Be sure to share!

Glamourbag, trust me, I WANT to be addicted to Twillies but I can't find the dang things! Isn't it weird to want to be addicted to something? I don't know where you live, but on the US website, I saw them, thought for a day, and Bam, they were gone. None in my Hermes area either. What's a girl to do who wants to spend on an overpriced piece of material? (said with love of course...) thanks and I will share my purchase.

Docride, thanks so much for bumping up this thread. I love the look of wrapped handles, but my twillies always slipped and separated. Sounds like vetrap will fix that problem plus make my bag feel less heavy.
