Handbag raincoat?

I used to work for an outdoor retailer, and I was (and still am) a huge fan of dry bags. I personally like the Exped dry bags, because they don't look too outdoorsy. The nice thing about these is that they seal out 100% of the water, and when you roll them up and clip them, the clip forms a handle. When you're not using them, they pack down to nothing, and they're ultra-lightweight, because they're designed for backpacking. Just thought I'd share!

I'd love to see it.

Me too! Thanks for sharing all these links everyone. I lived in NYC and now London. Getting caught in the rain from time to time is an inevitable part of city living. Even if you have an umbrella, it doesn’t always cover your bag if it’s on your arm or crossbody. I think a handbag raincoat looks a bit silly, but practical and chic in it’s own way at the same time -very NYC woman.

I’m finally taking the time to get my handbag care in order (been posting on other threads asking about samorga VS original club organizers as well!) and hugely appreciate everyone posting these handbag raincoat links. I’m torn about which brand to order from.

I popped into Selfridges yesterday and looked at the Chanel raincoat. It’s only wide enough to cover a medium classic flap :( I need a handbag raincoat for my cerf and jumbo, my more daytime bags.

I emailed The Handbag Raincoat yesterday, here are the sizes they suggested for my bags:

1. Chanel Jumbo Double Flap: 11.8" x 7.9" x 3.9" - Midi
2. Chanel Medium Double Flap: 10" x 6.3" x 3" - Midi or Mini (however we prefer more coverage instead of less)
3. Chanel Cerf Tote (Executive Tote): 14" x 10" x 6" - Maxi
4. Goyard St Louis GM Bag: 23″ x 13″ x 7″ - Maxi
