I have a at least one of all the premier designers with the major exception of an Hermes and the only one with major problems has been Marc Jacobs. The only bag whether $5 on up that just fell apart and went to the trash. The newer LV canvas bags aren't what they used to be. I have LV that is 30+ and is still fine.

No issues whatsoever:
- Gucci canvas bags
- Chanel flap bags
- Delvaux bags
- Dior Gaucho
- LV Alma vernis
- Longchamp leather bags
- Valentino Rockstud

Bags with serious issues:
- Balenciaga City: my mother's Sky Blue City turned YELLOW. I stongly advise against buying a a light coloured Balenciaga.
- Chloe Paddington: one of the pins at the handles came undone
- Prada printed leather bag: discoloration of the leather

No issues at all: Michael Kors Hamiltons saffiano as well as soft pebbled leather. They may get a bit softer with use but just as sturdy, no peeling, no stains, no scratching etc. Coach tote still going good after a year. Burberry coated canvas still going good after 3 years.

Bags with serious issues: LV neverfull I have seen these on arms of some women and they are cracking.

Withstood rigorous abuse with no issues whatsoever:

Longchamp

Bags with serious issues:

Recent Rebecca Minkoff
Recent Coach
Recent Balenciaga
Recent Prada saffiano

Bags that I've heard have serious issues:

Recent Chanel

Regarding Balenciaga, I've owned two and have not had any issues with quality or the lighter coloured bags.

I don't wear Coach anymore but I have had one that was great quality and still own, and another that went in the garbage last year without much use.

Surprised more people haven't responded:
Questionable quality:
Lv good but gets dirty looking and some of the plastic part wears in the corners. Also I have seen neverfulls with the side leather missing and the top leather cracking
Stella McCartney had a seasonal bag that fell apart the first day.
Coach: had bags fall apart in a year
Fendi bags have disintegrated over time
Gucci friends wristlet fell apart within the first week.
Chanel- while durable and love it, I have found loose threads and pealing leather in fairly new straps ( I want it to be great but not sure however the fix all issues without a problem so that moves them up.
I haven't found a perfect brand yet but so far I think Chanel and lv are the best for me. Service when something goes wrong is important and they both stand by their products.

Vintage Coach bags are totally different than the newer versions. The leather wears like iron. Virtually indestructible.

All my bags except one Coach are vintage and the quality is OUTSTANDING. You just can't beat vintage quality. I have a LV Josephine PM, Chanel hobo with tassel, three vintage Coach and one newer all-leather Coach made in 2011. The newer leather Coach is fine, but the thickness of the leather is nowhere near the Coach bags of 20 years ago.

no issues whatsoever:
Chloe - i own 1 old paddington bag; 2 new marcie crossbody and a marcie wallet. no issue on the leather and hardware. intact both inside and outside. excellent craftsmanship.
Burberry - again, great craftsmanship.
Etro - never stops to amaze me with great craftsmanship and great designs.

serious issues in recent years:
Prada - their saffiano leather chips like crazy. it feels plastic-y. the sewing is loose and bad.
Rebecca Minkoff - her bags produced in and after 2014 are disastrous. PU/ plastic-like. easy to peel and rub off. a few of them are okay but i'd prefer her older bags produced in and before 2010.

No issues:
LV
Balenciaga dark color
Coach

Issues:
Rebecca minkoff wears fast
Light colored Balenciaga

However generally I rotate my bags so much and sell when I get bored so I don't get to see many issues
