Hi Anya, I don’t have anything in the Satin calfskin. I would be curious to see how does the leather behave. Can you please share if it ages well and shows any signs of use compared to the grained calfskin? You mentioned that it doesn’t fold what about the sides of the hammock do they fold in and out comfortably?

It is just such a pretty type of leather so I often wonder what it is like for every day use.

It really is not big, I mean the small is just a normal sized bag, but if you fill it up a lot, then it will be open and things will stick out. I put my school book inside, and it was sticking out of course. But there's enough space for normal everyday essentials and then some. The compact really does not hold anything beyond the basics like wallet, phone, a small bottle or a small umbrella, and it will be far more open on its own. And also bear in mind that overstuffing the Hammock is not a great idea if you want to carry it because the weight pulls on the handles, and they look like they might come undone at some point. I carried heavy things for a month, and could see the inside around the handles slightly out of shape, nothing bad, but it's good to remember it's probably not a bag to carry a lot of heavy stuff daily.

Swellgal , what a great topic.

Since my daily is the Mini Flamenco , which is a really small bag you can see that I don’t carry much. But here is how it all fits in the Compact and how it still closes into the dumpling shape (which is my favourite:-)

If you added hat and gloves on top you would have to carry it open as cross body.

Your choice really depends how big is the current bag you are using and if it fits everything you need.

I am so curious which one you will choose. Have fun

Ah! Thank you so much! I really appreciate the visuals on this! I love the dumpling shape too but it’s nice that it can expand to hold more in a pinch. I am leaning toward the small size so I can make this bag more practical for my lifestyle. When I make a final decision I will post photos!
