Hi Everyone! I’m totally new to luxury bags but I’ve been eyeing Loewe a while now. I’ve been trying to find any posts or videos on what actually fits inside a compact hammock versus a small hammock and I’m shocked to find little information.
Can anyone help me out (photos would be great too, if at all possible)? There’s no store even remotely close to me, so I would be purchasing online.
Also, I am deciding between soft grained calfskin and Nappa calfskin, so any explanations on how those feel/act would be helpful too! Thanks in advance!!

I have a compact and a small hammock. What kind of pic do you need? Both bags, sitting next to each other? I love both sizes. The small fits my laptop and is my work bag. The compact is a great size for going out on the weekends during the day. It fits a very well amount of things- but of course no laptop😄 I must admit, I am a big fan of the hammock. At the beginning I thought its crazy to have the exact bag twice, in different sizes- but as I love the hammock to much and its versitality its totally a big plus. And my most used bags in my collection. For sure.

Hello dearie, I have some pictures of a small hammock in this thread with my iPad 11:

And here some what fits in the bag:

I don‘t have a compact hammock though as that one is too small for me. Hope that helps a bit!
This is incredibly helpful! Thank you!

Oh thank you for this! So if they are both with the flaps closed, could you let me know what fits? The small must be quite large to fit a laptop, but I’m guessing that is with the flaps open? Thank you in advance!

Yes, flaps open and it fits easily a laptop. (Small hammock) „small“ is not really small. It’s a good size.

Hello swellgal,

I have some side by side photos because I recently got the compact size and was sharing it on here.

Interesting I tried using my small size as every day bag but it did not fit my laptop comfortably so I bought the large puzzle for work.

But the small hammock fits a lot and it fits large iPad comfortably so I guess my laptop is just too big.

The compact size I took with me on holidays and it was the perfect size for small bottle of water sunglasses, jumper and all my essentials. For example I use my mini Flamenco’s the most but the Company hammock when used as cross body with the sides extended can fit umbrella, hat and gloves ;-) mini flamenco can’t .

If you don’t carry much you can wear it by the two top handles in the ‘dumpling’ like shape I love that look and than if you want to add to it during the day you just expand the sized and it becomes even bigger bag.

I think this bag is super practical but also very gorgeous. I love how versatile it is.

Good luck choosing the right colour for you ! There is so much to choose from ;-)

Thank you so much! I actually love the sand color that has contrasting handles. Sounds like the compact might be the size I am looking for.

I love talking handbags :-)

You have asked about the different types of leather and my experience. I started buying luxury bags from Louis Vuitton few years back because that was the only luxury brand I knew, than expanded to others but when I came across Loewe I stopped buying from other brands. Why? Because of their leather. Loewe leather is very tactile. I have bags made of the nappa calfskin (the Flamencos), classic calfskin (Puzzle and Hammock) and the grained calfskin which is the Compact Hammock in the Sand colour. Nappa is by far the softest type of leather and the grained calfskin to me is the most practical because it doesn’t show scratches. But in general all types are durable , they are already treated to be somewhat stain resistant. I poured a cup of coffee of my new Hammock last week (I know terrible!) and I wiped it off clean, even the dry coffee staines did not sink into the colour. I had some deep scratches on my Puzzle and when I took it to Loewe boutique they somehow buffed out the scratches there on the spot for free, I was so impressed ! I didn’t have to show invoice or anything, I was super happy.

Over all the bags are pretty , versatile, tactile, practical and resiliant. Enjoy falling in love ;-)

I have both compact (satin calfskin, doesn't bend or fold) and small (grained calfskin, suuuuuuuuuuuper supple), and hands down the small. The small fits a water bottle, umbrella, sandwich, and all the basics plus even a pair of slippers when I go to my massage. The compact...fits nothing ;) Personal opinion, but really, a small bottle will stick out, umbrella only fits if it sticks halfway out plus the compact is smaller so the wings don't really fold down on themselves which means most things will simply fall out. The small is NOT a big bag, it won't overwhelm, but it can still be an everyday bag and then doubles as an evening bag with everything neatly folded down.Personally I wouldn't recommend compact for your first bag unless you are looking specifically for a mini bag.

Thank you @anya1955 that is helpful to know because I do like the closed/folded in look. For some reason, on the website it looks so big, but maybe the models are just small. :)

It is not superbig, but a good small to medium sized bag… I am 5“2‘ and this is how the small hammock looks on me. On the first pic I have boots with 6 cm heels on and on the second pic heels with 4 cm heels.
