I had three and this is the only one I hung on to. I find it very comfortable to carry and classic. I sold my black e/w and dark dune n/s. :smile1:

I gave my DD N/S away as well, two out of our three Hamiltons were the same haha you have incredible taste!

I think Imma carry my tan one, tomorrow. I might post a pic. I still love them [emoji7]

That colour is gorgeous I saw it recently at the outlet about a month ago! I had another Traveler in Luggage but was debating getting it in Suntan, I just never got a chance to see it in person at the time.

Speaking of Hamiltons, here is a rare one I hung onto as I never saw another one like this. It has the center divider compartment, just like the outlet bags, only this is a boutique bag with the lock and key. I liked it because the strap was adjustable. This was the Hamilton Weekender , right?? Is from 2012.

It's not Suntan. This color is from two years ago. But very gorgeous! Like a golden wheat. You'll see it tomorrow

Is that the European Hamilton?

Is that the European Hamilton?
I'm not sure. I saw it on ebay and had to have it because it was so different, and it has the center divider compartment same as the outlet version, which I always liked, since there are no outer compartments on it. Only the outlet version doesn't have the lock and key. This is a perfect combination of both of them. As you can see by the interior here, it is a boutique bag .I may put this in the 'identify this MK' thread, because I can't remember what type of Hamilton it is. I also think I will flip throught the Hamilton thread and see if there is another one there.

It may not even be a Hamilton. MK does does have several other styles with the lock and key, such as te Loden and the the Joan Satchel. I just went through 46 pages on the Hamilton thread and finally gave up. I think I'll post this in the ''identify this MK' thread. I'd really like to know the style name for this.

I posted this in the Hamilton Hottie's thread but I also think it's a good idea for this news to have it's own thread. I stopped in Macy's today to do an exchange & talked to the Michael Kors Rep while I was there. When I inquired about new colors for the N/S Hamilton tote, she told me that the Hamilton is now considered a Collector's Bag & that Michael Kors will stop making the Hamilton. She doesn't have a date for when it will be discontinued but she said that was the reason no new colors came out in the Fall for the N/S & nothing new in the N/S will be offered for the holidays. There are some new colors in the E/W & there will be a few new E/W offerings for the holidays...looks like quilted & a V pattern but that's about it. They are expecting no new N/S totes at all which is a bummer because I was hoping MK would make the N/S in Merlot. She said if one came in, she would hold it for me but to not hold my breath. She showed me some of the new color offerings but none are for the Hamilton. Looks like the beloved Hamilton will soon be no more.

That's too bad! The Hamilton is still my favorite style and will probably be for a very long time. I guess I better get the colors I've been stalling on...

Wow, that's a shame. Last I heard it was one of the most popular MK styles [although I stopped buying MK bags a year or 2 ago, so probably out of the loop]. I even paid full price for my e/w raspberry hamilton. RIP hamilton.

I love my pebbled leather E/W Hamiltons, I was so glad I got them before they stopped being sold and that style started being all saffiano leather. I have black and luggage. Of all my bags, those are the two I would NEVER part with, yet I feel I use them the least because I am "saving" them.

This is so unusual, I really like it! Even the sides are very different to the Hamiltons. I wouldn't know a name though as I only started looking at MK recently.

Well now you are talking about the Hamilton Traveler, which is quite a bit different than the North South Tote
. CD, did she include the Traveler in this discontinued thing?? I doubt that the Traveler is getting discontinued , since they just came out with the new one in pebbled leather. I think the Traveler will be around for awhile yet, thank heaven! .

The MK rep just said the Hamilton so I would assume that would include the N/S &E/W. I don't know if the Traveler is included. But it could be since it is part of the Hamilton series. The Traveler is newer & MK did come out with new colors & some updated offerings in the E/W for the holidays. It's just a wait & see situation. I'm going to see if I can speak to the rep again next week & find out if it's the entire Hamilton line or just specific Hamilton styles.

They not only have more colors for the Traveler, but they have also started producing it in the pebbled leather as opposed to their usual vitello. I have a feeling the Travelers may be stayng around for awhile and may even be their new alternative, for NS & EW. But that's just a guess. Let me know what your rep says please.

Oh, this is a lovely Hamilton!! Or whatever it might be called. Loooovely!!! Good catch. Was it expensive?

I was told by MK that they will keep the staple colors of navy, luggage and black always, but who knows. He is making smaller bags now (Selma and Hamilton) I have seen more euro hamiltons pop up also. As far as merlot, Macy's.com has it in large.

He's following the trend of micro/mini bags (think the Celine Nano Luggage Tote) and therefore expanding on that selection. On the one hand its good for those who are looking at a handbag as statement piece but than again there are those who require their bags to have certain functions (seen in the different sizes bags are offered in).

I did call customer care briefly but the person I spoke to seemed just as confused and went to ask his supervisor.
