I went to get my setting made today and came across a problem. THe jeweler recommended NO GAP, but I thought that I kinda want it because I kinda like the separation look. IT just looks more chic to me, because I saw a setting where the center stone is enclosed by the halo and it just looks "busy".

Help me out ladies, the wax model or whatever its called will be completed on March 8 so I still have time to change my mind if the GAP issue compromises the stone or setting.

Here's some pics for example: BTW my stone is a ROUND. This is just for reference! Any input would be great!

Are you referring to a gap between the e-ring and w-ring or whether to have an air line between the center stone and the halo?

Yup, a teeny air line between the center stone and the halo. The 1st pic the air line (is that what you call it? hehe) is a tad wide, but yeah, something along those lines.

I vote no gap. Somehow that mounting looks more pleasing to the eyes. I'm interested in getting the halo for a diamond I have from my mother-in-law. Would it be strange to wear it on the right hand? I never realized there was this type of option. Either way you go it's still going to be gorgeous.
