Re: the Folklore fake, I let the woman know and she took it down immediately. If she had had a lot of Hermès I would have figured she knew it was a fake; in this case, I thought she was just an honest seller who didn't check everything, and really, I didn't want another buyer to get a fake. I am sure she will check more closely in the future...
Nice tact. I usually just hit the report button. But I do have to say that that does nothing sadly. I have seen so many fakes get sold even after I have hit the report button :-/. A month ago I contacted a seller of a fake ( only one scarf as a one off in all her listed items) and she got down right violent against me :-0. Her listing said she was selling for a friend whose wife died. Beyond aggressive and told me to just not buy it :-0. Then said something about blocking me and reporting me as some kind of buyer. It did sell a week later even tho I hit the report button like once a day.

So sorry you had such a nasty experience Nomad but there are certainly some less-than-nice people on Ebay. This woman was very grateful and messaged me very soon after I contacted her. One of my favorite adages is: "A third of the time you win, a third of the time you lose, but it is what you do with the other third that counts." I apply that thought often for all kinds of situations!
Your best bet is to contact Bababebi - her knowledge about H is encyclopedic and her opinion unimpeachable. ( plus she's lovely)

Oh that is horrible. I have that scarf and the authentic ones actually have a little glitch with the accent, which was not carried over in this horrible copy.
I’ve been entertaining myself with the thought that this seller should get a dedicated thread showcasing the colourful flights of fancy of dubious origin on offer.
Hey lady, Next time you see a fake H silk send me the link….I have an ebay contact that will actually take a look at every listing I send him and will actually take the item down (Well sometimes). I have been showing him one seller’s entire store that is ……suspicious indeed. In fact…let me share the ID on ebay - anyone that loves to browse H silks on ebay needs to report this seller as often as possible. Some items may be legit but I see some that need attention. The ebay contact tells me that sometimes it takes numerous reportings from different sources to raise a red flag if the seller is established. Of course what I hear….Is….if you bring in $$ for ebay then it takes a lot of outside screaming to make them pay attention.
Here is the seller ……..Something is just off with them. They do not accept messages and do not ever show the scarf flat.

As i mentioned above I do have an ebay contact and just recently started sending him this seller’s listings. I do not understand the brick wall I am hitting with this one. Normally the listings I send him are removed immediately but with this seller…..I report….then they respond and ask specific reasons why the scarf is suspicious. Ummmm…..how simple can it be….this design not EVER made in this format.
Like Nomad - I am getting tired of reporting them.
