So happy to hear the Effax gave your Jacinthe Day some much-needed TLC! 🌟 I’ve had the same experience with Agneau — great for softening, but color shifting not so much. For example, when I used it on my Lime City this morning, while the leather feels better, the shade didn’t really change. Chevre, on the other hand, always seems to drink it up and darken a shade or two. A proper Agneau vs. Chevre test (with before/after pics) is officially on my to-do list. 📋@haisley As per your recommendation, I bought and tried the Effax on a Jacinthe Day and it worked wonderfully on the conditioning. The coloring is tough on that one bc a lot of gray comes through so it didn't darken it as much as I hoped. I forgot to take before and after pics but no real change to note lol. I can't wait to try it on my other 2012 Days bc they are quite stiff and dry even after I used LCPR. Thanks for the tip!
ETA: Quick question about your GSH Ocean Brief...do you wear that bag by hand or arm crook? Or are you able to wear it on your shoulder? I love the style of the Brief but I don't know if it's too big for a shorty like me (5'2") to carry by hand/arm.
As for the Ocean: mine is the RTT — short for Réduction du Temps de Travail, a nod to France’s 35-hour workweek. It’s essentially a supersized Brief with those signature “ears” at the zipper ends, like the City. I can just barely get both the RTT and the Brief over my shoulder, but the RTT with G21 hardware is definitely a workout. I’m 5'8½" and the RTT works for me, but at 5'2", the Brief could be just right — still roomy, but way easier to carry. If you're trying to cut down on weight, look for one in RH too. 👍
