I have thinning, fine hair as told to me by my stylist a couple weeks ago (Waaaah!) I am 62 so this is somewhat inevitable. Women with thick, coarse hair don't notice it as much.

I am look for a very high volume (air flow) dryer which can be used non-ionic. Does anyone have recommendation? I had the Dyson, but after initial love, it was a piece of crap.

Price not necessarily an issue, if it is what I am looking for.

Why is Dyson a PoC?
I’m using their Airwrap brush now and, combined with hair laminating, can see volume and shine

I also posted on another thread but this might be more appropriate place to ask.

Do any of you ladies have experience with taking biotin and has it helped your hair?
Hi, I have been taking biotin for the past three years and it has done nothing. Just had a check up and, all is well. For me, I think it's an aging issue :oh: . Basically, I believe the key is to keep hair very conditioned. If I see my hair is getting frizzy, I know it needs a mask or more conditioner. I am also researching a good boars hair bristol brush to use in the evening.

Yes my stylist said it is age-related. She said, "didn't you notice all the cutting I had to do to thin your hair some years ago?" Waaaah, I did not! I was wondering, "why are my ears showing with this cut, etc. Can't fight Mother Nature. Am working on a new style growing out now, if it doesn't work out, it will be short pixies for the rest of my life :annoyed:

Dyson is a good option, but if you're looking for something different I know a couple of good brands. If that's still relevant I would suggest choosing between MHU 1875 and Revlon RVDR5045. Both have ionic technology feature if that's the most important thing for you, better read an article on MyStraightener about those. MHU has infra-red heat and Revlon should be suitable for people with big hands (that's me!). Besides, they all are very quiet too.

I agree biotin might not work with aging hair, conditioning is the only way to keep hair from getting frizzy, just ask my 63-year-old mom.
