Indonesia India SAs are the same they even refused to talk to u on the phone they are snobbish I wonder if they own it coz they act like they can decide who they wanna give Birkin to

some of them are like that but some of them are nice though. Like my lovely SA, I met her in 2008 when I bought my bearn wallet and caravan bag. No contact after that and I never visit the store again until March 2012 I went to the store just to browsing around and suddenly she came to me and asked me if I still remember her. I was like WOW she still remember me. after that I always look for her everytime I need something from the store.

My friend recently went to Jakarta for business trip. She bought 3 scarves from the Hyatt store and did not see while the SA pack her stuff. When she came back, she found that 2 of the scarves are missing. I was wondering did anyone have the same experience and what did they do?

I've only had good service from the JKT stores, despite being ordinarily dressed and I don't carry expensive bags whenever I travel to Indonesia. The SAs at Hyatt are particularly helpful.

The top 1% in Indonesia are too rich and can afford a room full of birkins and Kelly's, so the SA's don't feel a need to entertain anyone else.

Regarding tax return, I've never heard of it. Indonesia is actually one of the most expensive place to get designer goods. Maybe consider getting in Singapore? Singapore charges 7% tax and refunds about 5%.

I have to disagree.. Singapore and Thailand are more expensive than Jakarta.. At least for H items. Singapore used to be cheaper but with the high exchange rate nowadays Indonesia is cheaper. Some of my Singaporean friends who shopped in H Jakarta confirmed that.
SAs in H Pacific Place are usually nicer than SAs in H Grand Hyatt IMO..

Hi, there is a new hotel at plaza indonesia area, the keraton, u still can visit the hermes store at hyatt as both hotels are connected with the mall. Its a new luxury hotel, hth

That's interesting to know. I haven't been keeping up with Singapore-Indonesia exchange rate for a while now. So now Indonesians don't have to fly to Singapore just to buy designer stuff..
