Ok it was another rainy dreary day here so I finally remembered to wear it!! I have to admit, it was a little unwieldy. Today was a normal work day for me, so I had my Goyard work tote. It is hard to carry a tote on your shoulder while wearing this cape since there are no sleeves. My arm was sticking out of the cape with the tote on my shoulder and the material is a little slippery so my bag felt like it was going to slide off my shoulder. I drive to work and it was also a little unwieldy to move my arms around with the seatbelt because it cinched in the arm flap. Sooooo... if you routinely use a tote bag for work and drive a lot, I would say this may not be the ideal rain gear lol. However, maybe if you walk a lot and use a small cross body bag that you can wear under the poncho, it would probably work better. Or maybe if you are an equestrian and go to the stable it would be more appropriate... but as a regular rain jacket, I think I prefer my Burberry lol.
P.S. I will be going on vacation to a rainy place soon so I'll bring it and try it out there and see how it work in that context!

Aww thank you for the reply!! This was super helpful. I do a mixture of driving and public transportation to work daily so I’ve been on the fence about getting it. But every time I see it I think it’s so cute 😭 perhaps I will hold off on it for now. Have fun on your vacation❤️

I was going to reply to original post but will just add to @Bdbunny’s review - I have this cape, as a rain coat. And managed to get good wear out of it during March/April in Northern California where I live and whilst visiting the UK/Europe. It is oversized so light layering underneath is good. I do a lot of city walking or take public transport whenever it’s the quickest way to get around and the best “look” is crossbody bag under the cape and I can still carry a lightweight book bag or tote to stash my shopping. It is very water repellant and absolutely fine for rain showers and drizzle though I haven’t tested it in pouring rain.
It’s working well for me, at least I got nice compliments from SAs in London and Paris when I slip into the shops in my ensemble lol.
The material is somewhat stiff though it’s softened a little through wear I suppose. So as @Bdbunny said, when you get into a car you kinda have to fold it around you. I just ditch it into my backseats if I’m driving.

I just bought this lovely warm-up fleece in feu /plomb!
I tired it on when my SA was in the back to grab something, and then explained the durability of the jacket and that it was made for riding (which I will be using for in the cool mountains, haha)

Forgot to include this, it has great details on all the zippers too!

I use almost all my bags in the rain! Even on some drizzly days I still take my exotic bag out (I do try to stay inside--door to garage, etc.). Clemence, togo, ostrich, swift, barenia are all pretty durable with water/PNW elements. I almost always wear my mini E since it's easier to navigate life hands-free. Even when my toddler was a baby, I'd have my mini E and his diaper bag/his stuff was separate (easier to find my own stuff in my bag).
Other than the concern of getting bags wet, the real issue is that I don’t really try hard with my outfit on rainy days. Always north face or archeryx. H bags don’t go well with these jackets. I do notice a rain coat from the H rider section. Anyone tried that?

I have not but I think your SA would love the inquiry about the equestrian line! I was looking at some of them and they look great, I think they are in technical material.
