I just ordered a Carmen. Who knows what color I will get - it looks like it's showing raisin or violet, but it doesn't say and you don't get a choice.

You get an email that they received the order and one that it shipped and according to the site, you HAVE to sign for the FedEx but they don't give you any tracking information or expected arrival date, so I've been afraid to leave the house all day. Where I live, it's such a pain if you miss them - I am not exactly in a major metropolis.

I just wish their site was better.

I've made quite a few purchases on their site and I have been very happy with their service. If ordered by 3:00 (I think) they ship the same day. I've never had to sign for anything ... You will indeed get an email once it ships but if you want the tracking # you have to call. It isn't included in the shipping email.

If you have to return something ....They can be rather slow on credits. They will send you an email that they received the item but sometimes it takes weeks to get the credit. Yet other times it is very fast. I usually have to call to get the credit "pushed through".

I have the purple-y carmen, which I also got from their site. I love mine and think that the color is yummy!! The color seems to be closest to violet in Chevre.

Good luck!!!

It's a pain that's for sure. Whether they ask for a signature or not is iffy in my experience. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, but Fed Ex SHOULD be covering its *SS by getting a signature no matter what. Lazy drivers could cost them in the end. On the good side, when I've made a return, they've credited my account within 36 hours of receiving the item. I've rarely seen a company move so quickly to give me my money back.

The LACK of tracking information though IS an issue I have with the website. I've placed four online orders (not Hermes) within the last two days, and I've already got tracking info on all of them. I mostly try to order from the stores because it can be easier and cheaper, but when I do go with hermes.com, I choose ground shipping as it will still only take two days.

I hope you enjoy your Carmen! I don't know whether it's Raisin or Violet, but at least it's dark enough so it won't show marks very quickly. I could kick myself for choosing the lighter color I purchased a couple of months ago. *G*

I wish they would routinely get signatures! I've had huge problems with FedEx claiming to have delivered packages to me that didn't show up on my doorstep until hours or days later, presumably due to the kindness of strangers who somehow ended up with them. My theory is they're getting delivered to the same address in a neighboring town (which has a similar name to ours). I am very leery of ordering anything to ship via FedEx without having to sign for it. I haven't ordered from the H website yet, and I'm not sure I will, partly for that reason.

But if they are delivering to the same address in a neighboring town, then they could end up getting that person's signature instead of yours. It's weird that they aren't going by the zip code. Anywho, I feel sure that if you ask H to require a signature that they would be glad to do so.

I know, you'd think they'd go by zip code--maybe it's something else; all I know is the last time this happened, someone drove by and dropped off my package. :confused1: So it's not like they're just delivering to the wrong street number (our street's only one block long anyway). But things have worked out when I've had signature confirmation, so if H requires a signature then it should work out fine.

Eeeks, now that's pretty bad. With my last few orders, they DID ask for a signature, and the driver even went so far as to check my name against the package for accurate tracking (delivery confirmation). It was nice to see someone not just drop and run and possibly fake my signature at the same time.

Good luck if you order with Hermes.com!!!!

Have the Carmens already sold out? I checked the site and could not find them anywhere...I would love to have one in Lagoon...Everything comes and goes so quickly on that site!

They didn't give you a choice of color. You took what they had or nothing. Of course I either wanted rose shocking or raisin so I am happy.

They have the lucky elephant thing on the site now in some blue/turquoise color instead of the carmen.

I got the ship confirmation email about an hour after the order confirmation email. That was Friday and I chose ground so I assume (since I am not in a big city) that means it will be here tomorrow (Wednesday) YAY!

I've notice more agenda stuff in yummy colors on there, too!

And FedEx delivers to me all the time for my work so he knows me and I left a note today (just in case) for him to get the neighbor's signature if he HAD to have one. (I trust the neighbor with my dog so I guess H is safe with him LOL! - he wouldn't have a clue what Hermes is anyway.) But I should be here tomorrow, so it won't be a problem. Sometimes it's a BIG problem if they need a signature. I have to drive over 40 miles to the FedEx main hub after 8 pm to pick something up if I miss it. Re-delivery isn't something they do well around here. But I think if I get MY normal FedEx guy it might be okay...

A super cute Marly bracelet with Medor style accents. It'll be great for some of us who like the rocker look but find the CDC to be a little too much.

I tried this bracelet on in a store a couple weeks ago and I was very sad that it was too big on me (or at least I felt like it was too big). My DH hates the CDC , which I reeeeaallllly want, so I thought this could be a compromise, but alas, it is not adjustable. Does anyone have modeling pictures so I could see how it is "supposed" to fit? I thought it would be snug like the CDC, but it's pretty loose, not like it would slide off my wrist, but not what I expected. TIA :flowers:

Ms_Jade, thanks for that note! What a disappointment that it's so big. I wanted one because as much as I love the CDC, it just does not look good on me and I hoped this would be a nice alternative.
A few of questions, did it wrap around twice, like a double tour? Were the Medor accents loose, like the Medor twilly? Were there other strap and/or medor accent colors?

Bella, don't get me wrong, it's not huge or anything, just not snug, I could probably fit two fingers under the strap. It does wrap twice, like a double tour. the Medor accents are fixed, not adjustable or interchangeable, so you can't interchange the strap (that I could tell). I guess I thought it was too big because I thought the Medor accents would weight it down and rotate the bracelet so that the studs are on the bottom of my wrist instead of the top. I might have to go back to the store and play around a little more.

I believe this comes in 3 sizes like the rivale.
