Guitar straps, love them or hate them ?

Strong hate. They remind me of computer bag straps that mess up my cashmere or silk blend knits, so I’d neverrrr use those guitar straps. Not to mention … not to upset any guitar strap lovers out there… I find them visually unappealing. Please give me soft leather or a handheld. Interested to see others’ thoughts though.

I love mine! It's Valentino and I use it with the Rockstud tote - I'm a fan!!!
So great, love someone truly embracing them, some girls here go like okay it’s okay for casual occasions. But you seem like you would wear your guitar strap with a dressier outfit.

totally up to mixing up dressy and casual accessories for a great outfit. Like you would wear a biker for a bridal shower really nice.

or wear a nice dress with sneakers.
i love people taking risks Fashion wise.

I like how it makes a bag look younger and edgier! I have 2 bags with a guitar strap - a Gucci Totem and an LV Epi Alma. The strap is at an OK height for crossbody for me, which makes it easier to use. They are a bit thick for my shoulders if I take it just off one shoulder but manageable for crossbody. It can be a little inappropriate sometimes for formal occasions but then I usually just leave the strap off and it works. I would love if bags came with a default option of a leather strap too, though, so I could change it up more!

So, I received one in a Rebecca Minkoff bag I purchased at NR and immediately tucked it away with an “Ick” at the height of their craze. Just recently I was looking for a leather, slightly nicer, belt bag option to replace my lulu for when I go to baseball games etc. I found a BEAUTIFUL one and they offered a guitar strap option that looked really cute as an add on. I immediately tore upstairs and found the one toiling away in my closet. It is a perfect match and it looks so fun.

So, never say never. Sigh.

Okay maybe for formal occasions the strap has to go, but for everyday looks fantastic, especially the one from LV makes the bag standout more.
i Checked the Alma and the speedy 20 with the guitar strap and those straps are a true beauty. They really give the Alma Epi and the speedy a whole new take on them.

and I’ve seen many guitar straps from Gucci and Really stunning, my favorite is the black with two stripes in green and one in red.

I agree, I like that the guitar straps sort of reinvent the bag a bit, makes them feel more age appropriate for me at least. I have very little Gucci in my collection so I haven’t seen many of their guitar straps, but I like the one with my bag (Linea Totem) because the bag itself doesn’t say Gucci anywhere and is actually a pretty formal bag, but the strap makes it look so cool and edgy.

I don’t have a clear picture of it worn on my phone but I can attach a pic from the internet to show you what it looks like:

I have a coach guitar strap that’s comfy and looks great on my bags. I have one Rebecca minkoff strap that was made for this Jett boxy crossbody bag. IMO
