Guitar straps, love them or hate them ?

Hey everyone how do you all feel about handbags with the fabric guitar straps.?

used to hate them but they are growing on me. It gives the bag special younger style. I’m loving for example the LV new wave with that strap better than the double chain one.
it’s a really cool idea that you ca take of that strap and maybe use the bag as a shoulder bag.

I’m loving that concept everyday more. As I said used to hate because I thought it made the bag less versatile but I’ve realized if t comes with a little chain too or it’s the mult pochette. You can use it either as a clutch then.

when a bag comes with that strap it means it also comes with other options to use it. so I’m digging this trend.

The comfort of the guitar straps are nice, but I’ll always prefer a leather strap over anything else.

I'm over them. They are too wide for my frame. I can handle 1.25 or 1.5" wide strap before it overwhelms me.

I bought an inexpensive one from Etsy for my peekaboo because their leather strap is very thin; it definitely makes the bag more usable for me. However, since it was cheap, it's not the best quality.

Not always! I have a Loewe Mini Gate and it has a thick logo/jacquard "guitar strap" and it doesn't have other options.
I like it for certain styles, for me it'll be a very casual look.

I like it only with casual outfits when I walk around the city or for walking with the dogs. But I prefer a leather strap for my bags in general.

Well you can always latter get another of those straps. I bet the peekaboo looks stunning with that strap. i bet it’s like having a whole different bag. Makes it less Likely to get bored of that bag one day.

that’s why I’m scared of buying a true high end. I get bored of my bags Like in two years or so I don’t have even have the freaking classic flap and I’m bored of it now I’m turning more into loving the more edgy YSL Toy Lou Lou and the new wave with the guitar strap.
which are quilted bags but more edgy fun.

I have the Alma bb in epi with the fabric strap. I liked the design etc.. except that it is too long for me to carry on the side and too bulky for crossbody (the bag not the strap) so I am using the bag without strap

I prefer an integrated strap (one reason why, for example, I prefer the dior mens saddle with adjustable, ergonomic seatbelt strap to the women’s version), but a separate guitar strap can look great on other people. I prefer ones that have woven pattern rather than embellishment or logo. But, I’m a short Asian on the chunky side of slim, so really busy straps can overwhelm.

that’s interesting. I’ve seen the spedee 20 with it and looks great but haven’t seen the Alma BB with that look. id Love to see that look in person.

I just bought my first guitar strap, a Fendi strap to go on my medium peekaboo. I wasn’t crazy about the slim strap that came with the bag. This was a fun choice for the bag and gives it a hip, modern vibe. It’s also super comfortable to wear.

Great pick especially with the medium size. Because you’ll never wear the medium to a social event, you don’t need the medium to be formal so yeah the medium peekaboo with a guitar strap makes a lot of sense

Hihi there are 2 versions of Alma bb in epi. 1 is the regular thin leather strap and 1 is the fabric strap. Sorry is that called guitar strap?

Yes the thick fabric strap is named a guitar strap since it resembles the strap of a guitar.

but cool that there are two versions of the Alma bb in Eppi leather.
