The item was purchased by a Gucci (or Kering / PPR) employee at a discounted price. It used to be that you could add your employee discount to the sales price (so you could buy stuff 75% off). The markings prevent employees from returning the item at a different location (thereby prohibiting exchanges or refunds).

Thank you. So I'm guessing the items bought by staff are not for re-sale. Could the branding cause me problems if the item was faulty and I needed it fixing by Gucci. Maybe also devaluing the item or preventing me from selling on in the future. I have just bought this from an eBay seller, who says they bought from Vestiere Collective. Thanks if you or anyone can answer
A lot of people actually like these markings because it (somewhat) confirms authenticity in a different way. Therefore, I don't think it devalues the bag
I don't know Gucci's repair policy these days (in particular regarding employee purchases). I would guess someone on the forum may be able to provide you with more details.
