Gucci or Louboutin now...or Chanel later?

I suggest saving a bit more and getting a Chanel Classic Flap. A Chanel classic can serve you for years to come, because the style is timeless. I can't say the same about Gucci because they keep changing their bag designs, and even the designs that have been reintroduced like the Jackie are heavily modified each time to keep up with the times.

And you can get the Louboutins after the Chanel.

I agree with this. Chanel is a such a classc piece so I'd say save up for another year since it'll be worth it!

I'd keep saving and wait. You said Chanel is what you really want. If you buy Gucci or Louboutin now, you'd still want that Chanel down the road.

I'd suggest the Chanel. If you want it badly enough now that you're willing to wait a whole year to purchase it, you'll definitely still want it then even if you bought the Gucci/Louboutin.

I love the Emily bags, I have an Emily hobo. I am a Gucci girl myself as far as premiere designers go, but tend to stay away from mono bags [except guccissima like this bag] but Gucci bags you can wear for years to come as well. There are still Gucci's that are stil quite stylish from way back.

with that being said, at these prices, never get what you like, only get what you LOVE. even on sale you'll be spending about $2000, and that's too much if it's not the bag you obviously love. I'd say wait for the Chanel.

I think you should go for the chanel. Chanel does increase in prices. So u may want to get this first. However, is also a good idea to consider getting a vintage one which is cheaper and the worksmenship is more fine. But of course vintage is a pre owned. So if you are someone who prefer a brand new bag then maybe not. So it depends on what u want. And your budget.

Chanel. Louboutin shoes are great, but I don't think his bags are a good choice. They are trendy and won't hold their value should you choose to resell. Gucci makes some lovely leather bags, but Chanel is timeless.

As has been mentioned, Chanel's crazy price increases mean that I wouldn't waste time with other bags if you really desire Chanel when all is said and done.

ETA: From personal experience, I will tell you that if you want a particular bag, you will continue wanting it and may be very frustrated if you don't delay gratification (I know it's hard!!) and wait for it!
