Gucci marmont camera bag defect

I have this bag too. I bought it from matchesfashion.co.uk
I have sent the bag back and they are telling me the problem is from 'wear'. Funnily enough, that's what I do with a handbag. The thing is, this problem began within 2 weeks of owning it and with LIGHT use. I thought the peeling off the side of the strap would eventually stop, but then the tassles and the other side of the should strap began, so it has been ongoing over 6 months of usage. If I had not bought it from a reputable retailer, I would have assumed it was a fake. The quality is absolutely terrible for the money being paid. I will keep you posted with the response from matchesfashion and Gucci. Has anyone else had success with a satisfactory repair or replacement?

Piping that's the word I was looking for! I posted the other photos b/c I thought it showed it the best...Anyhow, the stock photo shows the same thing so I guess my bag is not defective...thanks.

Hi I bought my gucci camera bag last week and I wore it a couple of times. But now the black lines near the zipper come off. Should I return it or pull everything myself of ......it's like some sort of plastic.

Don’t pull it off. If it makes you feel better, mine arrived like that when I ordered it a year ago. It bothered me initially, but it didn’t
peel or anything. I don’t even notice it now.

Oh no! I’m going to have to go check mine...I’ve never noticed this ‘peeling issue’ on my bag but maybe I haven’t been inspecting it as much as I should.

So I inspected my bag carefully and no I don’t have the peeling or anything strange going on. For sure I will bring back and do an exchange

I have the black version of this and it is peeling too. Started when I first wore it! I just randomly started seeing it stuck to my shirt or hanging off the bag. Since my bag is black it isn't too obvious so I didn't mind. Very weird though that it peels off.

I bought the same bag and same color as yours in August 2018 and have the exact same issue! Not just near the zipper but mine is happening at the zipper leather tabs as well. I'm too lazy to bring it back to Gucci cause I think well even if they fix it, it will happen again cause the piping is at the edge of the bag and its so thin and the bag is soft so it will lift easily either way. Plus I think cause of the color thats why we noticed it even more.
I peeled it out cause its so unsightly. Either way it doesn't affect me.

FYI on this color, Nude, Antique Rose and Porcelain Rose are one and the same color and the color of the OP's bag. I'm so sorry about the glazing!

No there is a pale pink that is a true pink, not a nude/tan with pinkish hue like Porcelain Rose

So I called the Gucci store and i have to bring the bag back and they will repaire it.... up to 4-6 weeks[emoji19]

I know this is an old post but curious if your bag got repaired and did it have the same issue again? My bag in the same color that I bought in April is doing the exact same thing. I emailed the SA and am awaiting her response so just curious the outcome.

My bag, in the same color, did the same thing, in the same spot! Happened after three months and the Gucci store exchanged it with no hesitation.

No there is a pale pink that is a true pink, not a nude/tan with pinkish hue like Porcelain Rose

I know this is an old thread, but just to confirm, Nude, Antique Rose and Porcelain Rose are all the same color. Dusty pink is a different color? All the names are confusing me!
