I thought that was the case, I've never noticed it before but thought I'd check,
I know some places like Macy's offer tax free shopping.
I'll have to shop first at Heathrow

It's really worth it, esp. if you're thinking of a high-price item.

Call the Gucci in the terminal you're leaving from a few days before. Put on hold whatever you're thinking about until you get there. If they don't have what you want ask them to do a search in the other Ts, they can transfer from a different terminal really quickly ;). More so with airports, double check and triple check item(s) are perfect because other stores in Europe won't take returns/exchange (unless VIP). Best of all you can use and enjoy your wares whilst on your travels. Careful if stating in hotels, lock away, esp. if all still wrapped. Best of luck

Does anyone know how the prices for Gucci at Rome Airport duty free compared with those at Heathrow airport duty free? I am wondering which airport store has better prices. I know Heathrow offers around 16% tax free, but Rome’s Fiumicino offers 22% tax free. Does anyone know if this is true? TIA.
