Thanks for the info. Do you know if they would do a phone sale and ship me a bag? I’m in California

I don't think they do a phone sale and ship it to you..this was my case from my last visit last year...you have to be there physically...if you'd like you may DM me to share my SA info (she's at the Ala Moana Gucci location).

Really useful information, thank you! I wonder why Vuitton didn't charge you sales tax - lucky you!

I live in Nebraska. Up until very recently (not sure when) when I ordered online from Louis Vuitton I never was charged sales tax. I was always told it was because we did not have a location in the state. However I went online yesterday to order another item and they are no charging sales tax for items shipping to Nebraska. The savings and no sales tax saved us a ton!

Are you saying they now charge sales tax for Nebraska? Or are you still getting the savings?

I was googling about this when I was reading this thread, because I think that used to be the case for all companies/brands (i.e. people used to say order from Bergdorf's if you don't live in NY because you wouldn't get charged sales tax). I think now any company with an online presence can (must?) charge the sales tax of the destination state?

I'm planning on buying a bag next week and having it shipped to Portland, where I'll be next week - love those tax-free states!

Hi,
I went to Hawaii this February and Gucci offers 15-25% off on handbags and wallets. Not on shoes and belts. I couldn't tell why some bags were 15% cheaper and others 25% cheaper than the mainland, it could be the popularity. I checked prices in Waikiki and Ala Moana both in the island of Oahu (Honolulu). Sales tax in there is 4.71% so depending where you're from, you can still save a little bit on shoes and belts. Foreigners can't get refund on taxes like in Europe though.

just came back from hawaii and I would have to confirm that the prices are 20-25% cheaper on handbags and wallets only, not on shoes / accessories... went to the ala moana mall... got me a little backpack :)
