Thanks for all the information, I'm not in a position to purchase this weekend, but it's at the top of my wish list as I use my rose beige disco more than I ever thought I would, green is my favourite colour and I'd like to have a look at it before I order, not living anywhere near a Gucci store if and when it does arrive in the UK.
Ohhhhh butterfly Dionysus! Anyone knows if this is only available in combination with exotic skin, or does it come in combination with regular leather as well?

Oh dearrrrrr.....you know, this is really enabling for me but you know how I always wished the small size had a back pocket and a longer strap, hence the reason I did not buy a Dionysus before (I was in Paris one year ago and they did not offer a longer strap or back pocket for MTO then)
The extra small does work crossbody, but that one is probably not offered for MTO with butterfly patches, is it? Also, wonder what the price will be for a small Dionysus with butterfly patches and reg leather parts. Not sure if I would like a clasp with or without stones...mmmmmm.
I think without crystals it is more subtle, maybe the look will be too busy with crystals on the clasp. Unless they are black crystals perhaps
I know you are the total Gucci expert here, do have have any idea until when this MTO is available? Limited time only or still available over 2 months? I think I've read something it was only available until the end of August (25th I think), or perhaps this was only for certain items.

. A girl can dream. I may look at all the the suit options, a MTM, monogrammed black suit with amazing silk lining sounds like something I could wear for life...we shall see Some of these options have been and will continue to be available at Sloane St and Bond St anyway, even after August. The real purpose of the garden seems to be to publicise the new fragrance Bloom, AM's first for Gucci.
I was told orders for any DIY from the Gucci Garden are only until the end of the month. If that means they stop taking orders 25 Aug to deal with them, you know better than me.
The best thing is to communicate what you'd ideally want. Since the first customisation, a while ago, there have been many more variations so you may be luckier this time. I have a hardback book with every Sylvie model (not every variation) so far made, all codes and prices (in £ only). Unfortunately, I don't have the same for the Dionysus but you could ask if there's an equivalent catalogue for the D.
You can do custom Princetowns MTO anytime anyway. Call Gucci Bond St for details but I'm sure Sloane do them too.
What I'd like is a pair of the block heeled loafers in dark green but the only loafers so far on offer are Joraans reg heel (I already have my HG of those anyway). Some special jewellery would have been nice too, a gold and silver ring with a butterfly maybe and I would get to choose the gems
. The D. catalogue sounds amazing but I am afraid by the time it has arrived here, there's not much time left to order. I've had contact with Harrods and they were extremely helpful
However, they told me that the Dionysus butterfly edition only is available in medium size. Which is a bummer since small size is definitely my preference. I remember I once tried a medium and it was quite heavy and big.
The Harrods butterfly is the butterfly motif on top, which comes in 4 different colors.
I attached a few pictures for reference.
The clasps are all silver toned. One is all silver tone, three are with crystals.
For the trim, you can pick suede, python or even crocodile.
You can order a bag in person, pay in advance and they will ship it to you once it is ready. For suede trim it will take approx. 2 months before it's ready, exotics take a little bit longer.
Current price for the DIY medium butterfly edition with suede trim is GBP 3410,00.
It is not possible to request a back pocket or a longer chain strap.

I must say I am a bit sad. I was sooooo looking forward to this butterfly edition and was already looking in my schedule how to plan a last minute to London.
I even somewhat decided on a daring combination with the emerald crystal buckle
But alas, as much as I truly love this butterfly edition, I am really afraid medium size will be too big and heavy for me. Even though I am still a bit tempted because of the beautiful butterflies.
Sigh....if they would do this in small, I would have ordered one for sure. They do have the DIY sequin dragonfly Dionysus in small (see picture), but that's not really my cup of tea.
Anyway, for those who are going to order one, have fun and please share your reveal once it arrives
