Gucci disco soho classic/timeless? Yes or no?

Hello, I'm wanting to purchase he disco soho in either rose beige or black but my question is will this purse be in style for a long long time or is it only trendy? I am a stay at home mom now so when I splurge I really want it to be on classic timeless handbags.

Nordstrom in Seattle told me that they were getting more Discos for Spring, but not in the red color. They mentioned black, white, and rose beige and specifically said red was not included when I had asked.

I was talking to a SA at the Ferragamo store here in California and she said that used to work for Gucci and that bag has been popular for at least 4 years. She said that it is a timeless bag that will always be in style, which I was surprised considering she is working for the competition now. My sister in law has had this bag for 3 years and she wears it a lot and when I asked her opinion she said that it is an amazing bag and it doesn't show any sign of wear. I decided to go ahead and buy it since I think it is a timeless piece and the pebbled leather seems to be of great quality

My SA sales they're discontinuing it because they're going with the new design "marmont" and they have a new designer now. It is a timeless piece and got myself a black one!

I just purchased the rose beige color after seeing forum buzz about this bag being discontinued. I have wanted it forever, so I finally used that as my excuse to buy. I think the silhouette is classic, as others have said, and it's not overly done. No flashy hardware and seems to be dressed up or down easily.
