I think it is very difficult to anticipate which bags would become a classic, in truth they are only very few that do... In a few years time crossbodies will probably be dead... again... That said, I think the Disco may have more life left to it than the Trio. The tasteful gold-engraved brand name has been copied so much that it has started to feel old I think.
As I said, I find the Disco extremely easy to wear, and I think that is a guarantee against boredom. I liked this bag from the start, but what kept me away (and I am guessing that may be the case with you too) was the logo issue, and the "baroque", for my standards, big fancy tassle. I remember once in this forum Papertiger (I think?) mentioned that the logo in the Soho is less conspicuous than an engraved brand name. And I see the point. The GG are so abstract that they are more a design feature than a logo. The bag is actually quite minimal. To be honest, I could do without the tassle myself, but it also fulfills a function, making the zip easier to open.
