I’m planning on buying a new Gucci bag from the official Gucci online store. Does anyone have recent experiences to share especially in terms of quality control? Have your items (leather bags in particular) been in perfect condition? What’s the experience been like in case of quality issues?

I’m normally very picky with my bags and tend to go over every stitch and detail when shopping in person. However, there’s no Gucci store where I currently live so their website seems like the best option. I just don’t want to go through the hassle of returning items so any thoughts would be helpful!
 
Made my first Gucci purchase online recently and I was pretty amazed overall after being disappointed by LV countless times. Item in pristine condition (though I've read someone received a used or damaged return before so guess anything is possible), no stitching issue, no alignment issue, opulent gift packaging that feels so much more luxurious, sturdy shipping packaging. Additionally, Gucci CS actually replies to e-mail and Whatsapp queries promptly.
 
Mildly annoyed right now. I’ve always had excellent experience online. The few times I ordered when it was back ordered, Gucci always delivered way before the estimated date.
I ordered a ring as a gift. The particular size I ordered was on back order but when I ordered, it said estimated delivery would be today. It hasn’t shipped, when I called they could tell me nothing. “Your order is in process”. That’s what it says online. The person I wanted to give it to is leaving and I won’t be able to give it to them. (They’ll be back next month so hopefully by then). When I go to website now as if I want to buy same ring, it says estimated delivery 1-2 weeks. Mine has been in process for several weeks. Will I receive it? I sure hope so and I’m gonna try again to speak with someone. I’ve already emailed and no response.

Edit..I think I will cancel order if I can. I see I can order ring from another store. I usually prefer from Gucci because of packaging but if they can’t give me answers I’m cancelling.

Just to update I cancelled my order. Gucci was very apologetic and had no idea why the item had not been shipped. The rep I spoke to said she was going to follow up with a manager. I ended up ordering the ring from a department store and it arrived pretty quickly. This was my only poor experience purchasing online. Prior to this, I had good experience.
 
Generally they're great and fast shipping etc but I did receive 3 marmont with unsatisfactory stitching or large gap where the piping join was. I exchanged them all and on the last time the rep contacted me to tell me the large gap in the piping join was normal and if I wanted to exchange it would be the same or I can refund, I ended up getting a refund and they put the price up a few hundred so I never got one in the end. Two of them also had missed stitches along the zipper so it looked like a long cut that stood out... Only had issues with that one bag though.
 
My husband ordered a bag for me through Gucci.com as a surprise and it came beautifully wrapped with dustbag, box and a free cloth large shopping bag. I’m extremely picky with my bags when it comes to quality and it was in perfect condition.
Normally I always go to the store for my purchases but I was very pleasantly surprised by the online experience.
I live in EU if that helps.
