Gucci Backpack....which one??

I love Gucci leather backpacks, esp with the bamboo handle. I remember sitting in a Brussels cafe (Au Vieux Saint Martin, one of my favorite cafes anywhere) and this woman came in with a small brown leather Gucci backpack, bamboo handle, and I just thought oh that is so cool. I'm debating with myself about buying a pre-loved one in excellent condition. They are surprisingly well priced and seem to be pretty sturdy too. Has the OP looked at those? They come in a small and medium size. And I think they actually look better after a little use rather than brand new from the store.

The bamboo handle ones are my absolute favorite, I recently bought an all black one with tassels on the second hand market. I was worried the tassels would be too over the top, but they give it a little pizazz. This style isn't currently sold in the retail stores anymore correct? It's such a shame, I'd love it in more colors.

To bring it back to OP's original question, the velvet is stunning, but not something that is practical for travel, unless maybe you're just using it for car travel? I'd be too scared to take it on a plane, velvet will get all kinds of weird bits on it. I'd stick with anything canvas personally.
