I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the type of leather on this Gucci bag? I am highly interested in this bag. I love the color. But, I wonder what the leather feels like and if its worth the $3,600 price? I only have the soho disco bag, but that was a much lower price point than this. I live hours away from a Gucci boutique so unfortunately I cannot see any bags in person. I haven't seen much posted about the Jackie bags lately (can't find a lot of threads). Hoping any experts could give their opinion. Thanks.

omg I just saw this bag today. The leather is comparable to other luxury pebbled leathers. I was so, so impressed and it made me a little sad I just bought it in blue ivory and denim because this colorway and leather are something special. It's now at the top of my wishlist (in the small size). If you're comfortable with the idea of returning it, I would recommend taking a look!

Thanks so much for your input! I was so enamored with it that I ordered it on Saturday! It is the first bag that I have really liked in a long time. I actually haven't bought a bag since 2019. This was exactly the combo I have been looking for. I will post pics after I get it. I was looking for more of a hobo style because I have so many small crossbody bags. I'm sure it would be beautiful in the smaller size too.

The Jackie Softs were much bigger, and the soft referred to the slightly unstructured variation. The leather was more undulating than soft. If you have Hermes' Clemence leather or a full-grain Dior Diorissimo you will know the type of leather.

In this size bag and with it's reinforced structure it's not going to be as undulating, but the leather will be good.

I think I need to pop into Gucci again soon and check a lot of things out.

Yes, I am familiar with the Hermes Clemence'. A few years ago I tried on the Virevolte in that type of leather. My husband thought it was the most beautiful bag. It was gorgeous, but it slumped down and was too unstructured for me. It looked great on the shoulder, and the leather felt amazing. I'm okay with this bag having a bit more structure. I'm looking forward to seeing it person today. It would be great to live near a boutique. Unfortunately, I live over 4 hours from the nearest location. Thanks again for your input! :smile:

Fedex just delivered. It's beautiful. The leather is very much like Clemence, same great smell, it looks very similar to Hermes gold. The hardware almost is a gold/pink color. It's amazing. It has enough structure to keep the shape, unlike say an Evelyne. (Not that I don't love my Evelyne's, but it's a different type of bag.)
