Hi everyone, I was offered a Gris Perle B25. I had previously requested Beton but I think Beton is no longer available in B25 with GHW, I didn't want RGHW as I live in a humid climate and RGHW oxidises, or maybe my SA just cannot get it for me, regardless I had kind of resigned myself to the fact that Beton was not going to happen for me. Gris Perle and Beton are similar but Gris Perle seems to me more of a chameleon as it looks different in every photo I look at. I love grey and have Gris Asphalte in my collection, but Gris Perle is much lighter than. I don't mind the light colour. To be honest I am not sure why I am second guessing Gris Perle. I would love to hear everyones feedback on Gris Perle before I go and see her for myself. Thanks in advance.

I'm so happy to see this thread! I was researching Gris Perle a few weeks ago myself! I also found that it looked so different in every picture. I was fearful that it would be a chalky, flat whitish grey. However, when I saw the bag in person, it took my breathe away. It's a beautiful, very versatile color. Think of a pearl. It is light grey with a creamy undertone and can lean warm or cool, always with that creamy undertone. The glazing is a warm taupe, which warms it up a little more and gives it more versatility. The inside of the bag leans cooler, for some reason, picking up a light blue tone. Finally, mine has gold hardware, which again warms it up. Needless to say, I brought that girl home! At home, it has a pale blue hue in some lights, pale green in others, fully cream or fully light grey in other lights. This color is a true chameleon, which makes it impossible to photograph! I have yet to take an accurate photo of what this bag actually looks like in person. My only concern is color transfer, not gonna lie. I'm resigned to the fact that I will never be able to wear it with denim. Anyone with lighter birkins who can share some tips?

I think GP is a fantastic colour, I own a B30 in swift and I love this bag even though I don't carry her much as mine is in swift and I'm afraid of corner wear. Here's a pic of mine, I took her out of the box to show you the colour.
I have Gris Perle in togo and it looks a little darker than yours? I guess it's tough to tell in photos because it photographs so differently in different lighting or background. I'm a little concerned about color transfer. Any tips or tricks you can share with me?

I have Craie in Kelly retourne. It looks great with dark denim, but I always wear a long cardigan/coat because I shoulder carry my kelly. For B, as long as it doesn't brush against your jeans for a long period of time, it should be okay.

I don't wear it often, and when I do I make sure I do not wear any clothing that could cause colour transfer to the bag. I wrap twill's on the handles to prevent as well any darkness on that precise spot..

How prevalent is blue undertone in Gris Perle? I have now spent hours scouring the internet and I see blue undertone. I am not a fan of Bleu Pale or Bleu Glacier type colours. I was looking for light grey. I think I have psyched myself out of Gris Perle and I still really want Beton. I am kind of nervous about seeing the bag now and possibly saying no to my SA.

It is not prevalent at all, in my opinion. I am not a fan of blues or grays and I fell head over heels for the color. It's a creamy grey. Very hard to describe. The glazing is a pale taupe so the tone is even warmer. I think it's as close as you'll get to beton or craie without going preloved. But ultimately it's your decision.

Thank you! I predict I'll be wrapping myself in white gauze to prevent anything from getting on the bag! haha
