If you're already torn between two brands, I'm not sure introducing more is a good idea! However, that said: you might want to take a look at Jaeger LeCoultre, Chanel, and Chopard which should have some offerings at the same price point as the DateJust. There is no substitute for actually putting them on your wrist; I have loved some watches in photos that did nothing for me once I had them on my wrist, so going to a jewellers and trying them on is essential.
Personally, I would prefer the Rolex over the Cartier-- but they are both excellent watches, and at the end of the day, what matters is what will make your heart sing when you glance at the time. I do think the idea of choosing a mid-size (rather than large or small) dial is good advice, though, especially if it's something you're going to want to wear long-term.
