For this reason I'd never disclose where I got my items if the boutique asked... no matter the brand. "relative passed it on, or was a gift from a friend, lost the recipe because so old". it's unfortunate having to be dishonest, but given the prices (plus the fact we pay for these services) I expect the brands to repair authentic items no matter the origin (as long as it was legal).
