Goyard Color for Spring/Summer

Just wanted to share a quick tip—if you're not 100% sure about the color, model, or style yet, you might consider ordering through Bergdorf Goodman (since they allow returns) instead of buying directly from a Goyard boutique, where all sales are final. Personally, I’m strongly against unnecessary final sale policies and restrictions, so I make it a principle to order through stores that offer more flexibility.

To add to this, I hope you don't have to go to the NY boutique. I've heard it's horrible and the SAs are super rude and impatient if you don't know exactly what you want. They apparently treat anyone who wants to look around very poorly. I've heard this from a friend who went and also their reviews are bad.

I have never had a good experience with the New York store. But Bergdorf on 5th is fantastic - especially Mariam. They are a joy to shop with both in person and distant sales. The only problem with bg is they don’t get much stock anymore, especially for newer pieces.

I've had the best experience with the NYC boutique. Both in person and over the phone. However I will say I'm a very decisive buyer. I don't go into there unless I'm ready to buy

Since the OP wants to look at the items in person and make a decision in the store, they might be better off going elsewhere if this is their location.

I vote for you to try on every color in the store, who knows, green or blue might make be the color for you! Why not make it fun and experience all the colors goyard has
That sounds delightful! Thanks for the encouragement!

I've purchased distance sales from BG before, and the process was a real pleasure. That's a great idea to go there in person and try on bags there. Thank you!

Based on these outfits I’d go white or yellow for summer! But honestly you can’t go wrong with any of these suggestions.
Ooh! I hadn't thought of yellow, but I like the sound it. I have a tennis ball green/yellow Longchamp that I really like, so the Goyard yellow might be a nice alternative. Thank you!

I was planning to go to the standalone Goyard store in NYC but also did not have the most pleasurable experience there before. I didn't get poor service, everyone just seemed kind of unfriendly and not the kind of place where they would welcome trying on lots of different items. I will go to Bergdorf instead! Really good point you've brought up. Thank you!

I'm really glad to hear you had a good experience! The only other time I went to the standalone NYC boutique I did know what I was getting (Artois MM in black) and confess I didn't get the best vibe from the store. The service was fine, but it didn't seem welcoming. However, this time I will be trying on different options---still with the intent to buy but not sure exactly what! I may save visits to the standalone boutique for when I know what I want.

Yes, I think I'll go to Bergdorf to try on colors and styles and then head to the standalone boutique only if Bergdorf doesn't have what I want in stock. Bergdorf has been wonderful for distance sales I've made! Thank you!

I hope you are unanimous in that!

Just came back from a lovely experience at Goyard in NYC! No line, and I went right in. I first tried the Boheme but didn’t like how it laid. I then asked to try a burgundy and gray Artois. You all were right: Gray was the winner! My SA Curt was kind and patient. When I left, I was outside fiddling with Google Maps and the doorman even asked me if I wanted to come back inside.

Of note, I first went to Bergdorf and the lady there wasn’t terribly polite or pleasant. Wasn’t expecting to have a far more positive experience at the standalone store!

And confession time: I also made a distance sale from Bergdorf last week for a black and tan Artois in case we didn’t make it to the Goyard shops during our trip. I love that too, so I now have 3 Artois: black/black, black/tan, and now gray.

Thank you again for all of your advice, tips, and guidance! Pucs to come. I’m writing this on the subway back to where we’re staying in Greenwich Village:-)
