Goyard Bag Purchase Limits

I was there last week. I was told that the limit was five bags per year and I could purchase up to two St. Louis totes under my profile. I purchased 4 bags total: 2 St. Louis totes and a boheme under my profile and 1 St. Louis tote with my husband’s passport.

Yes, there is a purchase limit for SLG. According to the SA in Singapore, allowed to purchase up to two SLG items.

Anyone know about Korea? I am planning a trip to Korea in June and will visit Goyard store in Seoul.

When did the bag limit go to effect? I don’t recall their ever being a limit.

I’m not sure there’s an official limit tbh…
I bought 3 significant items in one purchase and 2 without issue another time.

Japan (Takashimaya Tokyo) only allowed 1 bag per person per day. SA mentioned 5 bags per year. Or is it 1 bag every 5 months?

Anyway , I wasn’t allowed to purchase 2 bags same day.

Just to update on Japan policy :

Only 1 St Louis bag PER YEAR
Only 5 items (incl SLG) PER YEAR

Wow. I bought my Boheme from the Goyard at NM Chicago last year and was offered a second one at the same time. Have also bought a number of bags one after the other, but I guess the limit is just for the St. Louis. Makes sense though since that is the style that people like to resell the most.

In Paris & Monaco, they told me it is 1 bag per style per year and they always check my purchase history to be sure. I first heard about that rule in 2021. I don’t buy them in the US so not sure if it applies here.

I only just heard about the purchasing limits and immediately came to Purseforum! I have purchased from the Rue St Honore store three times this year and never had any issues, and was not informed about any limits either. But each time the item was different - an Artois in January; Cap Vert in April; Saint Louis and wallet in June. My credit card might be happier if there was a limit 🤣

No limits seemed to come up when we were just in the Monaco location. Was looking at purchasing a lot of stuff and our SA didn’t even think twice about setting more than 5 big items aside at a time. Ended up purchasing 3 that I really liked.

What counts as a bag? Is it the traditional Saint Louis/Artois/Anjou or do backpacks and duffels also counts?

All bags like Artois/alpin/anjou except for St. Louis. St Louis has a separate limit. I’m not sure the quota on luggage though.

I’m here in Paris and was able to buy 5 items only (including 2 smaller items… plumet and st sulpice). They told me that it’s gonna be Aug 20, 2025 before I can buy another item🤷🏻. I thought it’s per year that starting January, you can do another purchase under your name?
