I am debating between the Goyard Artois MM or Moreau Paris Vincennes MM.

One is a leather bag, the other one is not.

How durable is Goyard’s material? I emailed them about a week ago regarding distance sale, but have not heard back. That makes me leaning towards Moreau Paris. Moreau Paris is also more accessible for me. I can get it in my country.

Which one would you go for ?

I have this Artois and love it, the canvas is very sturdy and durable.
mom not familiar with Moreau.

Good to know the canvas is sturdy and durable . I emailed the brand almost a week ago, but haven't heard back though. I am in no rush getting the bag. It's going to come when it is the right time. If it wasn't because of COVID, we would have travelled and been able to buy it in-person.

I have the Artois MM and the Moreau celestin pm. I’ve been very impressed with Moreau quality. The leather handles are much thicker and sturdier than Artois. I like that the celestin is lightweight and malleable. It holds a lot and molds to my body. In comparison, the Artois is a stiffer and more structured bag. Haven’t used my Artois as much now that I have the celestin. I don’t have a Vincennes yet but I’m very tempted! Goyard is much more recognizable and has better resale value. I feel I got more bang for the buck with Moreau. I still love both of them though!

It is so helpful to know all the info you provided ! Yes, I am not surprised that Goyard has a better resale value due to its recognizability. Based on what you said, it seems like Moreau has better quality with a slightly less expensive price tag! The one concern I have about the Moreau is that Vincennes' leather is very soft, and the photo the SA sent me has the sides of the bag curl inwards, if that makes sense. It doesn't always stay as an upside down trapezoid with the sides stick out. From an aesthetics point of view, it just doesn't look as nice as I had hoped for.

Certainly my Artois has kept its shape very well. Its quality is excellent too! I’ve had mine for 1.5 years-the corners have held up fabulously and the goyardine is still shiny and sharp. There’s actually a Moreau thread in the general handbag section. Doesn’t get a lot of traffic but you should ask there about others’ experience with the Vincennes. There’s a tpfer who bought a bunch of Moreau bags not too long ago!

I have the Vincennes ( the vertical version with long handles) and I bought it because it was a printed leather bag. The feel of leather is very important to me.
It’s soft leather and molds to your body when you carry it. It’s also very light weight.B9F154D6-3135-400F-A15E-0A3068286D5D.jpeg
Mine doesn’t curl inwards but rather outwards because of the vertical shape but it doesn’t bother me at all.

I love Moreau! But I've also never been impressed with Goyard, so there's a bias there. Leather on the Moreau is so beautiful, I have 3 Vincennes. I love the thick leather handles, the bags are reversible, and the handles can be pushed down for packing/ transport. Such an underrated brand. They use the same leather Atelier as Hermes...so far, I have not had any issues with wear/ function/ quality etc.

I don’t think the Vincennes MM I have thinking about is reversible. Maybe they have a reversible one, and I guess the price would be higher.
