I vote for deliberately creating drama to try and drum up interest in their podcast with the hope that they can somehow get anchor jobs again down the road.

That neither of them has been hired by anyone is very interesting. Maybe they aren't well liked or respected in the industry. Maybe they are finding out that they weren't so very special and that there are lots of attractive people able to read the news on camera who don't carry on affairs with co-workers and cause PR headaches and problems for their bosses. Neither of them apparently paid any attention to Matt Lauer or Charlie Rose's downfall.

and both charlie rose and matt lauer were much more successful and important than either of these two
